TSG Dadisms Blog Hop!

Thursday, May 27, 2010

Welcome to the third and final blog hop for the June There She Goes releases!

Today we're showcasing the perfectly proper *clears throat* Dadisms set! If you've hopped here from Pam's awesome blog, then you're on the right track, but if you haven't and would like to play along with us, just hop on back to the TSG blog and start your ride there. Remember, you could win this beautiful set just by hopping with us today!

Dadisms is a great set for all those Father's Day cards we need to get cracking on soon! It's a 6x8 set and has a total of 31 stamps, and it'll be sold for $24.

Growing up, I think I was a daddy's girl, but not in the usual way - my dad taught me everything I know about laying floor tile, changing a tire, fixing up old Volkswagen Beetles and tinkering with carburetors! :) I was eager to learn anything and he enjoyed the attention I'm sure. However, my dad looks nothing like this wise old dad. Add a pot belly to those chicken legs and a permanent 5 o'clock shadow and we're getting close!

Creating scenes are big in the stamping world lately and just like the other two sets we've shown you this week, this set has a number of individual stamps to help you create a scene of your own. The best thing about that is that you can make it as elaborate or as simple as you like! I went with a simple scene for today's card and just used Daddy-o in the armchair and placed part of the lamp behind him. Then, behind both of those images, I stamped out the block of quotes onto some kraft cardstock and sponged a few layers of distress inks around the edges. The designer paper is a combination of MME (which looks like your grandpa's PJ's, don't you think?) and Bo Bunny, and the sketch was borrowed from Taylor's Sketch (TESC114).

Did you have fun along this hop? We sure hope so! Unfortunately this is the end of the hop. :( Please head back to the TSG blog and leave your name in the Mr. Linky at the bottom of the post so you can be in the random drawing to win your very own Dadisms set!

Thank you so much for hopping with us this week! Don't forget: the Release Party is happening this Saturday, May 29th, in the TSG forum starting at 9pm EST!! You could win the entire release just by turning up to party with us!! :)
