TSG September Release Sneak Peeks - Day 4!!

Friday, August 24, 2012

Happy Friday everyone! It's the last day of the September release sneak peeks for There She Goes!

Torico has created the most adorable moving set, which we think will help to ease the pain of moving just a little! Most people do NOT like to move, and this super cute set has an image and sentiment for every occasion, whether you be the one moving, or if you are sending one to a friend or family member. With a major transition such as moving, a hand stamped greeting is JUST the thing to say goodbye, hello, or just a plain welcome to the neighborhood….and there’s a DOG!!!!

On the Move is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 22 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

I looooove this set! It's different from all the other moving sets out there because it's suited to all kinds of moves, be it a dorm move or an 'across the country' one. I whipped up this quick and easy card (although it took forever to pick the papers!) so you could see the possibilities of whipping a bunch of these up to send to friends and family. It didn't have to sit on the standard base card, but I thought it might look a little lost without it here.

Would you like to win the new On the Move stamp set? Here is what you need to do:
Visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post. You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday, August 25th with the winner being announced during the release party chat.

Thanks for stopping by all week! See you at the release party!

TSG September Release Sneak Peeks - Day 3!!

Thursday, August 23, 2012

Hi sweet peeps! It's Day Three of the There She Goes September release sneak peeks!

Last month we released the new Enjoy Life set with matching dies, and THIS month, Melyssa has created a set full of stamps to go along with the dies!! From crabs, to sand castles, oysters, and octopi, this set will help you use the Enjoy Life dies to there fullest!!

Enjoy Life-By the Sea is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 25 stamps and will sell for $18.00.

Yes, you read right! Last month's Enjoy Life dies work with this new By The Sea set!! Loooove how Jessica is always thinking of her customers. Two sets; one set of dies! Brilliant!!

Don't you love the sentiment?! It's one of my favorite things about the TGS's sets - there are tons of sentiments to chose from and they're perfect for the images! Jellyfish are so squishy! These little guys would make great Valentines Day cards for the few (guys) that aren't into the hearts and mushy stuff. ;)

I cut the small octopi's with the smaller of the two ice cream dies, and I could have cut the tenticles from the ice cream cone die, but I chose to cut them a little closer with my precision scissors. The card base was made from some MME paper, then layered a bunch of new MME paper, from the Nostalgia collection along the bottom - trimming one of them out with MFT's Medium Scalloped Border die. Then I added some jute twine and a PTI Button in cream. The heart was cut using PTI's Heart Print die.

Would you like to win the new Enjoy Life-By the Sea stamp set? Here is what you need to do:

TSG September Release Sneak Peeks - Day 2!!

Wednesday, August 22, 2012

It's Day 2 of the There She Goes September Release Sneak Peeks! Are you ready for more?!

Torico’s new set this month is well, it’s a GRAND SLAM!! America’s favorite past time has been brought to life with Torico’s fabulous style, and cutesy whimsical characters!! For the baseball enthusiast to the mom/dad yelling in the stands, this set is PERFECT for the baseball lover in your life! Can you imagine the scrapbooking possibilities!

Swing Big is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 16 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

Oh, how I could have used this set back in at the start of summer! My little girl played Spring baseball and we were scrambling at the last minute to do something for the coach. We ended up getting all the kids to sign a baseball but a card using this set would have been so great!

To make this card I colored the future Hall Of Famer with my reinkers and aquapainter brush. Then I cut him out with my precision scissors. The background was made using Rosies Roadshow Cloud Template and then I masked off the dirt with a Post It note ripped in half, and sponged it with Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Then it was matted with white and dark brown cardstock. The papers I used a scraps from Imaginence, Cosmo Cricket and Scenic Route. Then I finished the whole thing off with some jute twine and a PTI button in dark brown. The layout is my take on this week's Retro Sketch #25. I can feel a scrapbook page coming on soon with all the photos I took of Syd playing this Spring!

TSG September Release Sneak Peeks - Day 1!!

Tuesday, August 21, 2012

Hello and welcome to Day 1 of the There She Goes September Release Sneak Peeks!

Our favorite new animal at There She Goes is the Donkey, and this month Melyssa has found great new ways for us to dress up our Donkey however we see fit. With his super cute tee shirt, and several sayings, you can send Donkey to the University, or just let everyone know what a STUD he is!! We hope you love this set as much as WE do, because believe me, we are in LOVE!!

Donkey University is a 4x4 set that includes a total of 13 stamps and will sell for $10.00.

Tighty Whities....sexy?!! What was Donkey thinking?! lol

I made this card especially for my husband because today is our 12th wedding anniversary and he'd get a kick (pun intended) out of this card! Not that he parades around the house in those budgie smugglers...he's more of a boxer man. TMI?! Haha! (I know all my Aussie mates know what budgie smugglers are, but to those in the complete dark, feel free to click on the link....and just be thankful I linked you to a nice website and not an image search full of them! It was enough to poke my eye out! lol) To make this card I used a bunch of old scrap paper from Crate Paper, MME and Bo Bunny and the layout is this month's Sketch For You To Try.

Rolling Along in My Automo....Cheese Wagon!

Friday, August 17, 2012

Happy Friday everyone!

I am so glad this week is over! It wasn't a particularly busy one, but I have just felt so exhausted all week. I tried pushing myself at the start of the week with a couple of very late nights, but I was completely unproductive and it only made me tired! Won't be doing that again any time soon!

All this week on the TSG's blog, we've been showcasing three older sets and sharing some old cards using them. Today, the trendsetters and I have a whole stack of new cards to share with you using them!

One of those sets is a favorite of mine, Believe In You. I can't get enough of that bus in the set!! It's so cute! I spied last week's Retro Sketches #24 layout and immediately saw this layout in my head! The rolling hills and the little bus tooling along on it. So cute!! :) I added the button because that side looked a little bare....and I don't do clean and simple very well! lol

Got any plans for the weekend?? I plan on doing a whole lot of weeding! Sounds delightful doesn't it?! Wanna join me? lol Don't forget! Next week sees the start of the TSG's September release sneak peeks! Hope you can hang out with us then!

Take care!

Trick Or Treat Witch!

Wednesday, August 15, 2012

Hi everyone! I hope your week has been good to you so far.

It's been a quiet week at my work (which I'm thankful for!) so I've been trolling Pinterest looking for inspiration for our bedroom makeover. Right now, there's a lovely vintage rose color on the walls (which my husband can't stand) and very old yellow pine flooring as well as no bedhead because we sold it two weeks ago! So now I'm on the hunt for some good tufted headboard tutorials and wall color choices. If you'd like to share, I'd love to hear what colors you have in your bedroom...I need all the help I can get! :)

Today's card is bitter sweet for me. You see, it's my last card as an All That Scraps design team member. :( I had to make the tough choice to step down from the team because I was recently asked by an old friend to help out them out with some graphic work on a regular basis. It's a great opportunity to earn some extra money and help a friend at the same time. I'm just bummed I couldn't fit it all in! If things don't pan out, I told Christine I'll beg on my hands and knees to be let back on the team! Haha...seriously though, I'm not kidding!

Today on the ATS blog, we're sharing some new cards using the Mashi Muffin stamps. These stamps took a little while to grow on me, but I really like to color them now. My timing is impeccable! lol

To make this card I colored Witchy Willow with my SU reinkers and Distress Inks. Next, I made the base panel with some patterned paper I've been hoarding from Imaginations, called 'Jack O Lantern', edges sponged with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink, matted onto some PTI Kraft cardstock and stitched together. The vertical banner was done the same way, only the paper is from MME's Mischievous collection. The black horizontal panel is a piece from Making Memories 'Spooky Alley' collection, sponged with Frayed Burlap again and stitched to some black cardstock. After adhering those layers to the base, I added the jute twine and the sentiment tag, which is from the Halloween Sentiments set (and stamped onto some more MME paper). If the layout looks familiar, that's because it was borrowed from this week's Mojo Monday challenge #254.

I hope you've enjoyed all the cards I've made for ATS as much as I've enjoyed making them! I'm really going to miss those Meoples too! I'm sure they'll be at the top of my shopping list each month! :D

Thanks so much for popping in today!

Exploring!

Tuesday, August 14, 2012

Good morning everyone! I hope your weekend was great. We had a very wet one, but I didn't get any stamping done. Instead, I worked on a chalkboard frame I did for our kitchen. It turned out fabulous and I'm hoping to take a photo of it and share it with you soon.

In the mean time, I thought I'd share some more details on the scrapbook/stampbook page I made for the TSG blog this past Saturday.

I borrowed the layout from this gorgeous page because it had so many of my favorite elements in it; scallops, banners and layers!

A couple of weekends ago, we went to a local kids science museum with everything is hands on. Syd and her best friend had a fabulous time exploring! So I had to document the trip!

I used some very old paper from Crate Paper, K&Company and Cosmo Cricket. Three different companies but the papers seemed to work together perfectly! I cut the scalloped border using a Spellbinder Circle Nestie, then sponging the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink. Then I trimmed the corners of the larger panels with my corner punch and sponged the edges of those with Antique Linen Distress Ink. Then, because I sew on everything now, I stitched the panels to the base cardstock, also from Crate Paper. The black and white banners were made from washi tape from Michaels and the pink and tan washi tape at the top of the page are from TGF's Cream Cake set (which apparently they don't sell anymore). The medal I created in the center of the page was stamped with one of the sentiments from the Cutie Pi set onto some scrap grid paper, then matted with kraft cardstock, sponged around the edges with Antique Linen and I added some black adhesive pearls for a little detail. The two banners hanging from it were made from scrap Scenic Route paper. I stamped and colored two of the images from the Cutie Pi set and popped those on the page to give it a little something extra!

The words read:
What's better than visiting a kids hands-on science museum?? Visiting it with your 1st grade best friend! McKenna, her little sister Maddox and Syd had a blast exploring the Montshire Kids Museum in Norwich, Vermont. They even got to do a color experiement! I think the biggest hit of all was the bubbles area! Science can be fun!

Scrapbooking is so much fun now that I can add stamps to my pages! I think it makes the pages just that more interesting to look at.

Don't forget: This week is our There She Goes (Again!) week and our theme is Back To School, so pop on over to the blog to check out the inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Hump Day everyone!

Remember that 3D ice cream die thing on this card I did last week?? Well I'm sharing a tutorial on how to do create them on the There She Goes blog today!

Pop on over to the blog if you want to see the tutorial and the whole card!! (Yeah, I'm mean! lol)

Toodles!

Have A Franken-tastic Time!

Happy Hump Day peeps!

I can't get enough of those Meoples kids from All That Scraps, so I made another Halloween card to share with you today!

Meet Franken-meople! That's not her name, but it's what I'm calling her! She's part of the newest set of Meoples from ATS, called Witches and Goblins.

As with all my images, I colored her with my reinkers and aquapainter brush and cut her out with precision scissors. Then I used the new House On A Hill die to cut out a sparkling spooky house from black glitter paper. Don't you love how that looks?! Love me some glitter paper! I also used a few bats cut from black cardstock with the new bat die. The layout was inspired by this gorgeous card by Jo (Loooove her work!).

I've entered this card into these challenges this week:
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
The Kraft Journal - Kraft and Needle and Thread
Scrapbook Sisters - Things With Wings
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Halloween Inspiration Photo
Challenge Up Your Life - Everything Goes

The ATS Design Team girls have a whole stack of new cards to share with you over at the ATS blog! That's where I'm headed right now....how about you?!

TSG168: Get Sentimental

Monday, August 6, 2012

Good Morning!

What a weekend we had! Friday night we went to the county fair; we went on some rides and watched the monster trucks crush a bunch of cars! Then on Saturday, we sold our old bedroom set to make room for a tufted headboard I need to make, then we had a play date with one of Syd's friends and her parents and explored a kids museum in Vermont. Saturday night I watched the classic Cleopatra movie while tearing up t-shirts for a rug I'm making for our bathroom. Yesterday, after a late breakfast, The Man decided to install the picket fencing we got for free off our local Freecycle.org website. He rented a hole digger and kept hitting rock after rock after rock! But he finally finished it and for a freebie - it looks great! I'm looking forward to a slow weekend again....is it Friday yet?! :)

Unfortunately, it's not, but it is Monday and I've got another There She Goes Challenge for you! This time, I'm hosting it and my challenge for you is to use a sentiment as your main image or focal point. I was cursing myself when it came time to make my card because everyone knows I like to color and I couldn't! Stoopid girl! So, I had to get creative some other way...

I spied a comic book sketch in my search online for inspiration and I had a light bulb moment! Speech bubbles!! The Oh Snap set has a bunch of them!! So I created the look of a comic book layout with patterned paper and let the speech bubbles do all the talking! Does it look like a comic book page to you?? I think it does a little bit. I used papers from Cosmo Cricket's Circa 1939 but I bet this would look even better with some bright, funky paper too! (I didn't even sew on this card! Are you shocked?!) The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Happy Mail mini set.

Now it's your turn! I dare you to make a card using a sentiment as your main image!

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using this color combo, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (August 13th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG168 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

ATS August Release Sneak Peeks - Day 3!!!

Wednesday, August 1, 2012

We're on Day Three of the All That Scraps August Release sneak peeks!

If you thought yesterday's sneak peeks were wicked, then you ain't seen nothing yet! It's about to get even witchier in here!

Say hello to Witchy Willow Mashi!!

She looks like she's having a good time doesn't she?? Living it large on Halloween! lol I absolutely HAD to give her red hair too because she's a sassy girl, that Willow! ;)

To make this card, I colored Witchy Willow in with my SU reinkers (Rich Razzleberry for the hair, Lucky Limeade and Old Olive for her stockings, and Going Gray and Black Soot Distress Ink for her dress and hat). Then I cut her out with my precision scissors, leaving about an 1/8" gap all the way around. The cloud background was created using Rosies Roadshow Cloud Template with Black Soot Distress Ink. Love how that turned out, don't you?! The sentiment is from the soon to be released Halloween Sentiments set. I've had this patterned paper in my scrap stash for about 3 years now, just waiting for that one stamp daring enough to go bold with it! And Mashi's Witchy Willow was that lucky stamp! lol It's from We R Memory Keepers Black Out Collection. Is WRMK even around still?! Who knows. What I do know is that it takes black ink sponging around the edges really, really well! Each panel had this done to it, then matted with either black or kraft cardstock and stitched with black thread. I contemplated adding some embellishments, but decided not to because I think the image and paper held their own. What do you think?

Head on over to the ATS blog to check out what the rest of the design team have created with the Mashi's!

EDIT: If you've been on Splitcoastampers this week, you must know that it's Dare To Get Dirty time over there and there are tons of challenges as well as prizes being given away to those who participate! My card just so happens to fit Jessica's (PinkGirl76) challenge, which I'm tickled PINK about! :D I hope you can play along this week, if you're not already! You can find all the details>>>>>>>HERE!

Thanks so much for popping in today!
