TSG174: Fall Is Right On Time!

Howdy peeps!

Guess what I did on Saturday night?? I went to a Toby Keith concert! And it was awesome! My friend won tickets and invited me to tag along with her. It was so much fun! As well as seeing Toby, Brantley Gilbert, and Thomas Rhett, we got to see some pretty crazy fans do some pretty crazy stuff! Country fans sure know how to tailgate! lol I'll spare you the details, but I'm sure you can imagine the scene! lol

After rocking out into the wee hours of the night, I still managed to spend a few hours in my craft room coloring in this cute little image for this week's There She Goes challenge.

It's a sketch challenge and you can check it out over at the TSG's blog, but let share some deets with you before you head over there!

If you live in New England, then you know it's been hard to miss the fact that Fall is officially here! The leaves are falling, the mornings are colder and the apple picking season has started. So, even though I'm not quite ready to say goodbye to Summer, I decided to wet my feet a little and make a fall card. This cute little girl is from the Pumpkins On The Vine set - adorable isn't she?? I colored her with my SU reinkers and Distress Inks. The background was made using Rosies Roadshow Cloud Template and SU's Soft Sky ink. The 'dirt' was done with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The sentiment comes as one stamp, so I covered half of it with a Post It note and inked the first half. Then I masked off the other half and stamped it out so I could cut them out as two separate sentiments. It's finished size is 5.5" x 5.5".

So, do you think you're up for this sketch challenge??

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using this week’s challenge and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (August 24th). The winner will get a $15 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. A Delightful Birthday!

Happy Friday Everyone!

I have been a bad blogger haven't it?! I think my mojo packed it's bags and moved out! I just couldn't find the energy to hang out in my craft room this week! Mind you, it does look like a bomb hit it at the moment. I have clothes that need mending, unfinished knitting projects, two pillow inserts that need covers all piled up on my desk - along with all the scrap paper and ink from the last card I made! Quite frankly, it's a dump and needs a good cleaning! Maybe I'll find my mojo if I clean up a bit?! lol

If you haven't popped over to the There She Goes blog this week, then you definitely should head there! It's There She Goes (Again!) week and Tobi has been sharing some seriously cute eye candy featuring some past sets all week long and today, the design team have a whole stack of fresh, new cards to share with you all!

I made this card using the cute Wrapped In Joy set, designed by Torico.

I used Jen's Deconstructing Sketch DS#70 for my layout and some of those yummy papers from MME's Nostalgia collection. As usual, I colored the image with my reinkers and aquapainter brush.

Just in case you missed the sale going on, here's the 411:

USE THE COUPON CODE: CELEBRATETSG4 TO RECEIVE 15% OFF YOUR ENTIRE ORDER!!!

Thanks for being so patient with my while I find my mojo again. I plan on cleaning my craft room tomorrow, so who knows, maybe I find it buried underneath some papers! lol Have a good one!

A Friend Indeed!

Thursday, September 13, 2012

Good morning sweet peeps!

I'm so sorry for being MIA again this week. We've been adjusting to the little one being back at school and getting into a routine again. By the time I get out of work and pick up my girl at 5:15pm every day, drive home, start dinner, do homework, take showers and get her ready for bed, I've been dragging myself to bed early too. We're still in the middle of gutting our upstairs bathroom. It's a slow process since we had to fix a lot of dents and markings left on the walls by the old wallpaper trim.

The walls are now painted and we've installed the new trim board and molding. The nails have been punched, wood puttied and sanded. Now I just have to find the time to paint them. The hubby and I are old hands at these mini renovations now, and he knows that he needs to leave the trim painting up to me. His hands aren't as steady as they used to be and I'm pretty particular when it comes to painting the trim.

This is the new light fixture we installed and the new paint color. We're installing that pedestal sink and a big scalloped mirror above it. All our neccessities will be stored in an antique pine dresser. When we're done, I'll share a before and after post with you ... hopefully soon! :)

Since I don't really have a new card to share with you this week, I thought I'd share one of my favorite cards I made for my first month as a Dirty Girl over at Splitcoastampers.

This is one of those cards that just came together so quickly and almost effortlessly. I didn't have to think twice about the paper or the embellishments, which I usually do on a daily basis! I wish all my cards came together this easily! lol The theme for February was Best Buds, so naturally, I used TSG's Puppy Love set because nothing says Best Buds like a kid and their dog! :)

For those of you who played along with some of the TSG's birthday challenges last week, there's still time to get a card or two done before the September 14th 8pm EST deadline!

And just in case you need some shopping therapy... ;)

Well, thanks for dropping by. I hope to be in my craft room a little more this weekend, so the crickets can stop chirping here on my blog! lol

Have a great weekend everyone!

TSG Birthday Challenge No. 3!!

Wednesday, September 5, 2012

Good morning sweet peeps!

There's a huge birthday celebration going on over at the There She Goes blog all this week! TSG's is turning 4 and we're celebrating it by giving away tons of prizes and hosting challenges all week long! It's day three of the challenges, but you still have time to play along with Challenge 1 and 2!

Day 3 of the challenges is being hosted by yours truly! I grown to love inspiration challenges, so I've got a fabulous birthday inspired one for you today!!

We adore all things Olivia in our house (actually, I think it's only me at this point, but who cares, right?!) So when I spied this Olivia cake on Pinterest, I HAD to use it for the challenge! Those colors are to die for!!

Told you those colors are AWESOME together!! Cosmo Cricket can't be wrong either! I have been hoarding this paper from CC's Early Bird collection for a long, long time and now I know why I did! ;) I paired it with the OH SO cute Scootin' By set and the presents hanging off the back of the scooter are from the matching Scootin' By Accessories set. (I'd link these back to the store for you, but Jess is giving the webstore a birthday makeover just in time for the celebrations! Store will reopen soon - stay tuned!) I borrowed this week's I Spy Sketches Challenge #31 for my layout. The sentiment usually reads "Scootin' By To Say Hi", but I used a Post It note to mask off the Hi part and added the periods....

...because I created this on the inside of the card! The sentient is from the essential Holidays Galore mini set. Want to play along??

Here are the rules: For the daily challenge prizes of $15, you can use stamps from any company you chose, but we would LOVE to see you using your There She Goes stamps!! However, to be eligible to win the Grand Prize of $75, all you entries much use There She Goes stamps only! You will have until 8pmEST Friday, September 14th to finish this challenge, and the winner will be announced on Saturday, September 15th at 12amEST!! That gives you over a week to get finished!!

If you happen to finish them all, and we hope that you do, you can add your name to the Inlinkz being posted on Saturday, September 8th to be entered to win the GRAND PRIZE!!!!

Want a calendar to help you keep things straight? Well, here you go!!

Thanks so much for popping in today! I hope you can play along with us this week!

Ever Feel Like You're Swimming In Circles?

Saturday, September 1, 2012

Happy Saturday everyone!

I've been MIA for good reason this week....hubby decided to start demolition in our upstairs bathroom last weekend which caused all kinds of chaos. Then I took some unexpected time off work to stay home with my little girl and her cousin, who goes back to school next week, so we've been preparing for that also. It's been nothing short of mayhem in the MacLean household lately, so I apologize for not popping in any earlier. I've also been teaching myself to crochet! I didn't start with anything simple either - I'm making a rug made from t-shirts! Yep, t-shirts! And here's what it looks like so far!

Pretty cool isn't it? It's for our bathroom. I wanted something in there that I could throw in the wash when it gets dirty and be soft under our feet. Not bad for a complete novice! Thank you Pinterest for the inspiration!

So, besides all that stuff, I still managed to make a card to share with you all!

I don't know about you but I frequently feel like I am swimming in circles! What, with work, cooking dinner, eating, sleeping, then doing it all over again the next day! lol So I wanted to stamp the fish bowl from the recently released Enjoy Life: By The Sea set from There She Goes because...well, it's such a cute image! I colored it up with my reinkers and aquapainter brush, then used the Enjoy Life large die to cut it out. Then I used what's left of my Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy paper for the background. The layout was last week's Retro Sketches Challenge #26. I'm late again (as usual) to enter it but it's the inspiration that counts, right? :)

Well, that's it from me today! Don't forget to mark your calendars - There She Goes is turning 4 next week!! And we've got lots of challenges and prizes to give away! Woohooo!!
