Yes, it's that time of the year again....time for the sneak peeks to begin for the JANUARY release from There She Goes!

Nerds are all the rage right now, and we at There She Goes are in love with this SUPER nerdy, super cute set from Melyssa, Smarty Pants.  With 23 stamps in this set, you will have SO many fun options for the nerd in your life!

Smarty Pants is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 23 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

Hands up all those dirty minds who thought the card said something else?!?? Yeah...I thought as much! lol! You dirty lot! Hahaha I knew you all had minds in the gutter like I do! lol I couldn't help myself! As soon as I saw that sentiment, I immediately thought of doing a card like this! My husband cracked up at it, so you know it's a good one when guys pay attention! Actually, he asked what the meaning of the apple was....I told him to open the card up...

He gets it now! lol This set has the best sentiments and images!!

Ho Ho Ho!

Happy Friday everyone!

This week seemed to just fly by didn't it?! Wow! It was so nice to be back to my regular weekday routine....dinner, homework and a little tv. I have been enjoying the warmth of the wood stove and a cuppa in the evenings. So much so, that I barely made it into my craft room all week! The two rooms are at opposite ends of the house, so I have to make  hard choice some nights! Ha! But I forced myself back into my craft room last night to whip something up to share with you today!
All week long on the There She Goes blog, we've been showcasing cards made with three older sets. Those sets were No Peeking, Hohoho and Holiday Tags and today, the girls and I have a brand new card/project to share with you all!

It should be no surprise that I went with the Hohoho set because it's a FABULOUS set! (And it looks like it's a favorite among the other Trendsetters too!) But for my card this time around, I decided to use the Christmas tree from it. It was the only stamp I hadn't inked up yet and one that I thought would be PERFECT to paper piece!

I need to make a few Christmas cards to go with the cookies the little Sunshine and I will be baking for friends and the mailman this weekend, so I kept my layout pretty simple. No coloring here! I sponged the edges of the green polka dot paper with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and adhered it to the kraft base. Then I stamped out some of the snowflakes from the Hohoho set with Versamark ink onto more kraft cardstock, added some white embossing powder and heat set them in place. Next, I matted the piece to some Bitter Chocolate Bazzil Basics cardstock, cut the hills from white glitter paper and sewed them all together. The tree was paper pieced with some scrap MME paper, cut out and I ran my Sharpie around the edges to hide the white edges. I stamped the sentiment onto some scrap patterned paper, matted it with white cardstock and popped it onto the base with dimensionals. I decided at the last minute that the card needed a little something more, so I added the red baker's twine. I think it gave the card that little bit extra don't you think?? I think so! :)

I REALLY appreciate you stopping by today! But now you need to RUN over to the TSG blog to check out what the rest of the design team did with these 'oldie but goodie' sets!!

Go on, scat!! ;)
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Jingle All The Way!

I'm back!

Did ya miss me at all?? I'm sorry for being absent so long! Work sent me away to help a sister company of ours on a special project. No one really knew how long I was going to be needed, so we were just taking it one day at a time, but they ended up needing me for two weeks!! It was great experience but the only down side was that I had to travel to Boston every other day! From little 'ol Keene, that's 2hrs each way! The overtime was great but I was stupid exhausted and staying up until the wee hours in my craft room was the last thing I felt like doing! I just wanted to crawl into my bed and sleep each night! Thankfully that project is over and I can get back to what I love doing - coloring and crafting! :)

I spent last weekend building a tufted headboard, so because I was not in my craft room, I thought I'd share a card I made during my time as a Dirty Dozen girl earlier this year!

I made this one for May's theme of  a 'Box of Chocolates' (If  you're a Splitcoast member, you'll be able to see this gallery). Good thing I had this stamp on hand, because this little guy's hot cocoa was the only stamp I had that was even remotely close to the chocolate theme! And since it's almost Christmas, I thought it was the perfect card to share with you all!

The stamp is called "Henry Mouse with Large Tea Cup" and it's by Whiff of Joy. I believe my sweet friend Mary gave this one to me! He's a cutie, isn't he?? Love those big, billowing ears of his! To make this card I used some old papers from MME's Jovial collection, Bazzil Basics cardstock in Bitter Chocolate (which is my go-to color.....dark brown is the new black in this craft room!), and some PTI kraft cardstock. The image was colored up with my SU reinkers (Creamy Caramel for the mug, Close To Cocoa for Henry, Ruby Red for the stool and Sahara Sand for the ground shadows. Then I sponged the edges of the image (cut with a Spellbinders Labels One nestie) with Antique Linen and Tea Dye. Each of the patterned paper panels were sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and machine stitched to Bitter Chocolate Bazzil Basics cardstock. Then I added some sparkle with some glitter ribbon and a button. The sentiment is from the There She Goes No Peeking and Holly Jolly sets.

Speaking of There She Goes, it's the week before the new releases, so that means it's the There She Goes (Again!) week over at the TSG's blog! We're showcasing three lovely sets all week long and on Friday, the girls and I will be sharing a new card we've all created using one of the sets! So pop on over there and check out the holiday cheer! (Totally meant that to rhyme! lol)

See you all Friday!
Hugs!

Happy Holidays!

Friday, November 16, 2012

Happy Friday everyone!

I am really sorry for not blogging regularly this month. My husband's family has been dealing with some health issues that caught everyone off guard and we've been adjusting to it in our own ways. I haven't been feeling very crafty hence the lack of cards to share with you all. Although, I did make this itty bitty card for today's There She Goes (Again!) post and I enjoyed making it! Baby steps, right?! :)

So, if you haven't been over to the TSG blog this week, you have missed out! We've been showcasing a few of the older sets, like Just For You, Penguin Pals and the set I used on my card, Stick Together!

Cute no?! I love the little snowflakes in this set! Unfortunately, there is no die to match this set, so I had to cut them out with my precision scissors. It was a little time consuming, but no more than coloring up an image!

To make this card I used my large Spellbinders Postage Stamp die to cut a card base from some white glitter cardstock that I got from Michaels. Then I matted some scrap Chatter Box designer paper with some kraft cardstock and sewed them together. Then I added the scalloped trim, cut from scrap Crate Paper with my MFT medium scalloped border die. I wanted the trim to overhang the designer paper, so to add the raffia ribbon, I punched two holes and threaded the raffia through them to tie the bow! Where there's a will, there's a way, right?! :) Next I added the two snowflakes, which I stamped onto kraft cardstock with Versamark Ink, sprinkled them with white embossing powder and heat set them. After cutting them out, I added an adhesive pearl to the center of them and popped them on the base with a dimensional. Then I just stamped the sentiment, from TSG's No Peeking set, in the corner and that was it! A quick and easy card that you could easily turn into a gift tag!

Just in time for Thanksgiving, There She Goes is having a Thanksgiving Sale!

Now pop on back to the TSG blog to check out what eye candy the rest of the Trendsetters have whipped up for you today!

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
