Etsy Friday Finds

Friday, April 30, 2010

Hi again!

I've been thinking about storage solutions lately. Our apartment is tiny, so giving everything a home is high on our priority list. For instance, we store our DVD collection in these zipped cases like you would store CD's but you can store the DVD cover with it. It's so nice not having all those DVD's on display!

Anyway, so while I was browsing around on Etsy, I decided to see what things they had to solve my storage solutions.

CaseyBot

These things are soooo adorable!! They have pocket mouths, so little kiddies can keep their treasures hidden away! So cute!

I LOVE THIS! It's a zebrawood cover for an external harddrive....sooo chic! It's a beautiful piece of wood isn't it??

GetReadySetGO

It's a vintage beauty case but it would make a great stamping travel case! Nuff said....

Can you stand this much cuteness!?! Ribbon holders with little heads!! I think my little ray of sunshine might want these for herself! hahaha

It's an old printers drawer! I've seen people put stamps in these things, but this one looks a little on the small side. It could hold glitter tubes or thread reels...I just love it's antique feel!

I hope you enjoyed these storage solutions! Have a FABULOUS weekend, whatever it is you're doing! :)

Oh Randy, My Little Flower!

Are you as happy as I am that in just a few short hours the weekend will be here?? I'm sooo looking forward to a quiet weekend at home, without any chores to do...in a Walgreen's world maybe! lol In reality, I have piles of laundry to do and a house that needs a total overhaul! Oh well, at least the sun will be out and shining down this weekend!

Today's Farm Fresh Friday challenge is an inspiration one. It's an image of a medieval/gothic looking bedroom, but for a better idea of what it looks like, you can hop on over to the TGF blog to check it out.

Now with inspiration challenges, you can use any element of the picture you like. It can be as obvious as the main focus of the image, or it could just be the feeling the image creates. I chose to go with the overall color theme of the bedroom for my card.

And since this was an medieval looking room, I thought TGF's Randy Flower digi stamp worked best with these colors. Doesn't he look all dapper looking in his top hat? Perhaps he's getting all dudded up to take Miss Ivy out to dinner?? I kept everything pretty simple this week since I think I just about overloaded myself with all the layers I've done on cards recently! And Randy as a lot going on, detail wise anyway, so it was probably a good thing to keep it simple. I added some fun zigzag stitching and some random adhesive rhinestones (just like Amy Young does on her yummy cards!)

If you're still a bit stumped for ideas, definitely check out what the Farmers did for this challenge:

Good morning!!

I'm sorry I've been so quiet all week, but I promise you, there's a good reason why! The May release for Claudia and Company is almost upon us (May 1st) and you WON'T BELIEVE what Claudia and Lori have in store for you all this month!!

I'm soooo excited about this release, I couldn't resist teasing you all with a little sneak peek of what's to you might see in the blog hop, going live, this Saturday, starting at 12am! Mwhahahahaa! I'm such a tease! :)

Toodles! ;)

TSG52: Sketch By Mercy

Tuesday, April 27, 2010

Good Morning!

As promised, I'm back with a card today! This was a card I started on Sunday afternoon and finished late last night. I think my mojo got swept out with the tide while we were in Maine because normally it does not take that long for me to finish a card! And while I'm not completely happy with it, I think I salvaged it enough to show you today....I hope! lol

This week's There She Goes Challenge is a sketch by the Queen-of-all-Sketches-Trendsetter, Mercy Kerin. You can check out the sketch on the TSG blog if you'd like to play along.

I wanted to create a very summery feel to this card so I chose papers from Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl collection and one of the beautiful images from designer, Chris Dark's, second floral set for TSG, called What's Up Buttercup? And instead of a square card, like in Mercy's sketch, I reduced the portions to a standard A2 size. Because I like to matt every layer, I came a little undone with the deckled oval - how do you matt that shape?! I can snip around just about every other nestie, but this one had me stumped! So I ended up matting it onto a plain oval nestie shape, then a scalloped oval shape again. I didn't know what else to do! I'd love to hear, or see, what you do to matt this shape!

So if this sketch seems like something you'd like to play with, then leave a link to it in the Mr. Linky at the bottom of the TSG post for this challenge and next week, Jess will randomly select a winner who'll receive a $5 gift certificate to the TSG store!

By the way, did you like the new release blog hops last week?? Did ya see any cards you'd love to keep for your own?? Well, leave a comment at the bottom of the WIR post and you could be selected to choose your very own card from one of the design team! There's over 35 cards to chose from!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Not a single card!

Monday, April 26, 2010

Hello peeps!

Well, as the title of my post states, I managed to not make a single card this whole weekend. And I feel bad about it....just a little bit! ;)

The Man and the little ray of sunshine decided to take a long overdue and impromtu weekend away to Kittery and Ogunquit, Maine. We woke up and decided Saturday morning and we were gone by 9am!

Just being by the water and smelling the salty air was sooooo great and rejuvenating! We poked around the quaint little town of Ogunquit and shopped at a few outlets in Kittery. But the best part about it was getting out of our little apartment and having some new scenery around us. It was exactly what we all needed. :)

So thank you for popping in, and I'm sorry I don't have anything to show you, but I promise, if you stop by tomorrow, I'll have something for you to see. =)

Big hugs!!

It's All About The Bug!

Friday, April 23, 2010

Hi again!

(Please scroll down for my TGF Farm Fresh Friday challenge!)

One of the things I love more than my family and friends, are Beetles! Old Beetles! It's the thing that brought my hubby and I together, so they're near and dear to me. And apparently near and dear to a few Etsy sellers too - check these out!!

ProjektJ

This image just reminds me of where my old beetle might end up in a few years, if not already....I hope not! I put so much into it I'm sure it's still on the road in Australia....somewhere. :( I miss that Bug!

BellflowerTextiles

One word: CUTE!!!

LolaRain

There's a great story that goes along with this print over at the sellers's store....I just love how the sunlight shines through the trees - so refreshing!

DearLillie

Sooooooo stinking cute!! I MUST HAVE THIS....and a baby to wear it too wouldn't be bad! LOL

East Mesa Designs

This is just plain 'ole cool! I think The Man would love this to use at work....only, it might be frowned upon since he works at a Honda dealership! LOL

FFF: Going Green Challenge!

Happy Friday everyone!

I hope you all had a great week. Mine was pretty uneventful for the most part. We took a trip over to a local (around here a 30 minute ride is still local) eatery yesterday and even though it was a pretty cold evening, I couldn't resist their ice cream! They have all sorts of flavors, but my favorite is their caramel cashew chip....absolute heaven!! I behaved and ordered a kiddie sized portion, but even then, it's still pretty big! I wonder how many trips there we can fit into this summer?! Hmmmm....

This week's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge is all about GOING GREEN! In honor of Earth Day yesterday, TGF wants you to go green all weekend long! Use the color green, recycled products, grass, LOL...whatever you feel GETS YOUR GREEN on!

I have to admit, this Chipmunk Gathers image by Marina Neira didn't exactly jump out at me screaming to be colored, but now that it is....I think it's adorable!! It actually looks a whole lot better colored then just in the buff! :) I actually did a couple of 'green' things with this card. I recycled some old Basic Grey paper that has been sitting in my stash for a while now and since it had a bunch of green in it, it worked out perfectly! :) Just in case you're wondering, I borrowed Mercy's sketch from this week for the layout.

If you're still a bit stumped for ideas, definitely check out what the Farmers did for this challenge:

It's back home in Perth, but it's one of my treasured possessions! I just have a thing for products made in the styling from that era, I don't know why!

TSG What's Up Buttercup Blog Hop!

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Hello and welcome to the second of three blog hops for the May There She Goes releases!

This one is for the new 4"x8" Spring Fever set! If you've hopped here from Pam's blog, then you're on the right track, but if you haven't and would like to play along with us, just hop on back to the TSG blog and start your journey there. Remember, you could win this fabulous set just by hopping with us today!

What's Up Buttercup? is the second set from TSG's newest stamp designer, Chris Dark, and I was just ecstatic to find we were going to have another one of her sets to color up this month! Can one really have enough floral sets in their stamp collection? I think not and I'm willing to bet there are very few buttercups in those collections too!

I kept the mood of this card soft and sincere since the buttercups in this image are so fragile looking. The paper is from October Afternoon's Thrift Shop collection. As with all of TSG's sets, there are a bunch of sentiments to choose from, but I stuck with this 'Just a note...' one.

That's it from me and that's the end of the hop! Please head back to the TSG blog and leave your name in the Mr. Linky at the bottom of the post so you can be in the random drawing to win your very own What's Up Buttercup set!

Thanks so much for playing along today!!

TSG Daily Grind Blog Hop!

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

Hello and welcome to the first blog hop for the May releases!

Today the Trendsetters are showcasing the super caffeinated set called Daily Grind! If you've stopped by my blog from super sweet Pam's blog, then you're on the right track, but if you haven't and would like to see some amazing cards using this brand new set (and perhaps win your very own set), then head over to the There She Goes blog and start your journey there.

This set is a must have for all the coffee aficionados, like me, out there! It's got all the images that go along with coffee drinking and then some. In all, there are 35 individual stamps and you can even mix and match them with some of TSG's previously released sets (eg. Let's Get Together) It's 6"x8" in size and it will be released along with two other sets on Saturday, April 24th after the release party, which starts at 9pm EST in the TSG forum.

I went out on a limb and did something a little different with this set. Normally I gravitate towards the main image of most sets, but this time I resisted and used some of the smaller images instead. I borrowed Taylor's Sketch (TESC109) for the layout and because there are cupcakes in this set, I used Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry collection of papers to create a warm and cozy kind of card.

Your next stop is back to the There She Goes blog. Remember to leave your name in the Mr. Linky at the bottom of the post so you can be in with a chance to win your very own Daily Grind set!

Tough Guy Davey

Monday, April 19, 2010

Good Morning!

It was a very quiet weekend in the MacLean household. I felt nauseous all weekend (and no, there's very little chance that I'm preggers!). Not really sure why, but I stayed close to home, just in case it got worse (luckily it didn't). Ended up just watching a couple of movies, made a few cards and did the usual chores. That was ok too since the weather was so miserable. The highlight of the weekend were the banana pancakes I made on Sunday morning....talk about delicious!! Now if I could just master crepes...I'd be in heaven!

One of the cards I made was this Tough Guy card using Davey Puddle Jumper; this time sans his pet dinosaur. The dinosaur didn't really go with this robot paper from Cosmo Cricket, so I masked him off when I stamped Davey. Love that you can do that with these stamps!

I used a couple of challenges for this card. The sketch is from this week's A Spoon Full Of Sugar Challenge #99, and Stamp Something's challenge this week was all about layers. Plenty of layers here! LOL

Not long now before we see another batch of Puddle Jumpers! :D Not to be a tease or anything, but I've seen whats in store for next month and ladies - you are going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!! :D hehehe That's all I'm saying...my lips are sealed...as of now! Hahaha

Thanks soooo much for stopping by today! I always appreciate your visits!

What Color Was Your My Little Pony?

Friday, April 16, 2010

Hello peeps!

Are you ready for another Farm Fresh Friday challenge from The Greeting Farm?? Excellent! Because this week's challenge is a SKETCH! It's brought to us by our fabulous farmer, Mary Giles! Head over to the TGF blog to check it out, but before you do, here's what I did with it!

You might have caught a sneak peek of this cutie pie on Heather's blog the other day, but if you didn't, please meet Pinto Pony!! Doesn't she remind you of those My Little Pony horses?

To answer the post question, I only had a few ponies growing up, but my favorite was a purple one. Truth be told, I still play with Syd's every now and then! :D I was so excited to show her these new digi stamps, and in particular Pinto Pony, but I didn't quite get the reaction I thought I'd get. She was more interested in getting me to stamp out Eric Wild Sprout instead! I have a boy crazy 4 year old on my hands! God help me when she hits her teens! LOL (That's a nervous laugh peeps!)

My LSS doesn't have any of the latest My Mind's Eye paper so I found this yummy Quite Contrary Mary Mary 6x6 sampler pack from DieCutsRUs. (And I see Claudia's added more sampler packs from MME....I guess I have to make another purchase soon! LOL) The colors are so girly and perfect for Pinto Pony don't you think?? As always, I colored up the image with my reinkers and aquapainter brush. I used a combination of Regal Rose, Ruby Red and Razz Raspberry for the shadows. I used Antique Linen for her body and a combination of Tea Dye and Vintage Photo for the shaded areas on her body. As I do with all my Marina Neira images, I added some Glossy Accents to her eyes to make them shine.

Here are the links to check out what the Farmer's and Critter Crew created for today's challenge:

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I hope you have a fantastic Friday and your weekend is filled with fun things!

Anything Is Possible

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Good Morning and a happy Thursday to everyone!

Are you having a good week so far? Hope so. :) I'm off on a day trip down to Connecticut tomorrow for work. I have to document the offices in a 1,000,000 square foot warehouse....I'll definitely be bringing my walking shoes for this one!

I hope you've all been enjoying these little Puddle Jumpers as much as I have. They've been so much fun to color and I'm so thrilled to have some more boy stamps in my collection. The only problem now is the lack of boy sentiments! If you know of any, can you point me in the right direction please?? Thank you in advance!

I couldn't think of a more appropriate paper collection for Lucas, then this one from Bo Bunny! It's an old collection called 'U Bug Me', but it screams....BOY!! :) I've been color coordinating my people's little outfit's a bit to much lately and by the time I realized this, I had already colors Lucas up, so that's why I made his little birdie friend pop with the blue hues. That's what happens when you color while in autopilot. ;)

I borrowed this week's Friday Sketchers #97 sketch for the layout.

And now a community service announcement....

Enabler Alert!!! I don't normally enable anyone (since my funds were severly lacking for such a long time) BUT I just had to share this seriously good deal with everyone! Claudia at DieCutsRUs has the brand new October Afternoon paper pads (Fly A Kite and Thrift Shop) for a CRAZY $5.95 each!! I swear I looked high and low and nothing came close to matching that price! (And shipping was lower than everywhere else I looked too.) And she ships lightening fast, so you'll have that yummy paper in your hands in no time! Can't wait to play with mine this week! Yippee!

Thanks so much for stopping by again today!

TGF Release Day!!

Just a reminder in case you forgot (which, if you're a TGF fanatic, I know you didn't!) that today is a surprise release day for The Greeting Farm!!

You can now buy your very own Scrapbooking Anya set and those 4 adorable digi stamps from Marina Neira!!
Woohoooo!! I'm off to get my scrapbooking set!

The Greeting Farm Special Special Sneak Peek!

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

It's Wednesday, which is sometimes known as Hump Day, but on The Greeting Farm today.....it's also known as a special sneak peek day!! :D

I'm soooo excited because not only can you participate in the first ever blog hop for the Scrapbook Design Team and get to check out their AMAZING creations with the brand new scrapbooking set but TGF is also releasing 4 new digi stamps from designer Marina Neira tomorrow, April 15th!! And friends, please be advised: you will swoon over how ADORABLE they are!!

Adorable right??! I literally let out a squeal when I saw this cutie patootie in my inbox!! Meet Harold the KOALA! Being an Australian expat here in the USA, I miss all things Aussie (except Darrel Lea licorice, which I discovered Target now sells and I completely gorged on...but I digress) and that includes the wildlife.

Now you might ask why isn't Harold eating a eucalyptus leaf?! Well, that's because it's a little known fact that Koala's love their bread with a dollop of jam on them! Seriously. ;) Would I fib?? ;)

Now, where are the sneak peeks of the other three stamps?? Well, I'm glad you asked because the fabulous Critter Crew have them hidden (ok, not really hidden) on their blog! And you'll definitely want to stop by too because one of us is hiding some blog candy today - ALL 4 DIGI STAMPS!! Wooohooo!

Heather Schlatter
Jami Bova
Sparkle Smith
(Mercy Kerin was unable to play along today - we'll miss you sweetie!)

And you definitely want to hop along with the scrapbook design team on their hop, because a little birdie told me that they have blog candy to give away too!! You can head over to the TGF blog to start the hop there!

Thanks soooo much for popping in today!!

Royal Battle Challenge: Scrapbook Page

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Hello everyone!

I've been feeling quite guilty lately of not doing any scrapbooking ever since I discovered stamping and all the cute images you can color in. I think I did two whole pages last year and this year, well, I think I'm on a roll because today's project makes takes me to two pages this year - and it's April!! LOL So, because I feel like a bad mama, I think I'm going to start doing a page a month from now on and while I'm at it, I'll include some stamped images since I'm all about coloring in now. ;)

If you're a fan of The Greeting Farm, then you know all about the Royal Battle going on right now. It's a HUGE contest TGF is running and the grand prize is just RIDICULOUS! Every week the teams produce a creation for that week's challenge and each Sunday everyone votes on their favorite three projects. Those with the most votes gets continue onto the next round. Even though the Farmers and Critter Crew can't win the grand prize, Jess is letting us play along anyway...just for the thrill of it!

So last week's challenge was to create a scrapbook page and I stuck up my hand to create it (being so guilty and all that). I figured I needed some new paper to be inspired by, so I popped into my local Michaels (since it's only 5 minutes away and my LSS is 30 minutes away) and found a really cute paper stack from DCWV called 'Bird Song'. It's got some great patterns in it and even some glitter paper, which is always good if you like a bit of sparkle!

Once I found the paper, I racked my brain, and hard drive, for some photos to match. (Some people pick the photos before the paper and I usually do that too, but not this time!) I found these photos of my little girl in our backyard at our old house. When we bought the house, we inherited a flower garden filled with everything from day lilies to rhubarb! When the sun was out we'd spend a lot of time out there and Syd would pick all the flowers her little hands could carry. *sigh* I miss that house... Anyway, once I had the paper and photos, I needed a layout. So I went to the one place I knew I could find one - Page Maps! If you love to scrapbook, this site is GREAT for creative layouts. I borrowed this one from the April Page Maps.

Having not scrapbooked in a long while, I used some techniques I frequently use on cards, but never did on scrapbook pages, like sponging, machine stitching, and adding dimension. I casually machine stitched around the layout with chocolate thread. I got brave and stitched the stems and leaves of the flowers too! It was a little tricky to maneuver around the page on my sewing machine but it worked out in the end. It just so happens that Stamp Something's challenge this week is to use stitches, so I'm submitting this project for the challenge. :)

I used a bunch of different TGF sets for this layout. The little garden helper and flower are from the Hope and Grace set, the mushroom behind Grace is from the retired Wonderland set and the little birdie (which I drew legs on) is from the also retired Pretty Anya set.

Well, it sure was nice to get a page done! Thanks so much for stopping by today! :)

TSG50: Pleats

Monday, April 12, 2010

Hello crafty bloggers!

How was your weekend? We had a pretty low key one since I wasn't feeling all that great and there was a ton of laundry to do. Syd had a sleep over at her Narnie's house and The Man and I were supposed to go out and enjoy the night off, but I had cramps all day and really wasn't up to getting dolled up for a night out on the town. But it was nice to sleep in the morning! :)

Since it is Monday, I have this week's challenge from There She Goes (TSG50), and you're going to LOVE it! It's all about pleats, pleats, pleats!!

I've seen them all over blogland but I haven't made one because I never knew exactly how they were done. Well, that was until our fabulous Trendsetter, Heather Pulvirenti, showed us how she makes them with her tutorial for last week's Wednesday Trends! Yay! She made it look so easy!

Since the challenge called for it, I gave it a go and even though it doesn't even come close to a Heather ruffle, it's a pretty good first attempt right?! :D

I couldn't resist using the Sweet Pea mini set again since it's my new favorite set! It's designed by TSG's newest stamp designer, Chris Dark and I have a feeling we're going to see a whole lot more of Chris's designs after the popularity of this mini set! I used Pale Plum to color in the sweet peas, then added just a bit of Elegant Eggplant at the base of the petals. Since the Basic Grey 'Green At Heart' paper had a earthy base color to it, I used some Frayed Burlap from Distress Inks and applied it to the background of the flowers. For some sparkle, I spritzed the image panel with some Glimmer Mist.

Everything Grows With Love

Friday, April 9, 2010

Happy Friday everyone!

You're going to love this week's Farm Fresh Friday challenge! It's a spring cleaning challenge!

Jess is challenging us all to create a card or project using either a) something you found that you forgot you had, or b) something you were going to throw out but decided to use it for this challenge. Now THAT's a challenge!

Well, it definitely was one for me because I like using things that are familiar to me (ie. buttons and ribbon)! But because this challenge called for it, I went through my scrapbook collection of 'stuff' and pulled out some journal tags I can't remember buying and some rub-ons I forgot I had.

I then paired them with Miss Maggie Bunny from designer, Marina Neira, and the sketch is by our very own Critter Crew member, Mercy Kerin's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #68. I think I could have made the sentiment pop out a little, but other than that, I really like how this turned out! Now it's your turn! Rummage through all those forgotten bags, containers and drawers and find something you forgot you had!

Don't forget about The Greeting Farm's Card Drive for the sick kiddie! You can check out all the details here and if you whip up enough cards, you could win the ENTIRE APRIL RELEASE!!

Sorry for the short post today, I have some custom card orders that need to be in the mail!

Supplies
Stamps: The Greeting Farm 'Maggie Bunny'
Inks: StazOn 'Jet Black', Creamy Caramel, Pretty In Pink, Old Olive, Taken With Teal, So Saffron, Ruby Red, Going Gray
Papers: Strathmore Bristol Vellum, Bazzil Basics, PP - Basic Grey 'Nook and Pantry'
Access: Ribbon, Adhesive Rhinestones, MME Journal Tag, Making Memories Rub On , Basic Grey Buttons, Dimensionals

You Bring Me Happiness

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

Good morning!

How's your week going so far? Mine started out slow. I ended up staying home from work on Monday because Syd had a cold that seemed to have worsened. She was congested and being a little whiny, which for her is usually a sign something isn't right, so instead of inflicting her gnarliness onto her teachers, I kept her home for the day. Turns out I needed a day off too. I got some much needed cleaning done and we squeezed in a much needed nap too. :) A good day for the both of us. We could have stayed home yesterday too but Syd seemed much more happier and in control of this cold then she did on Monday.

So while we were home on Monday, I stamped out a couple of Reagan Puddle Jumper images for Syd and I to color up and I ended up throwing mine on this card after Syd went to bed that night.

And this is what I came up with! Reagan is the latest girl Puddle Jumper from Claudia & Company (exclusive to Die Cuts R Us) and, I might add, the first one with curly hair! I'm always excited to see people stamps with curly hair for obvious reasons (just take a look at my mug shot!)

I decided to paper piece Reagan's outfit instead of coloring her in, just to try something a bit different. Then paired her with this week's Friday Sketchers Challenge #96 and I chose these bubble gum-pink papers (from Bo Bunny and Fancy Pants) because this week's Stamp Something challenge is an all-pink one.

I've been asked if I sponge my backgrounds, and the answer is yes...and no. I will watercolor around my images with the Cool Caribbean and fade out to nothing, then I'll sponge the panel from the outside edge inwards. That way I don't have to mask off the image and it looks like I sponged the whole panel. It's too time consuming to mask off detailed images like these!

Thank you so much for popping in today!

TSG49: Color Challenge

Monday, April 5, 2010

G'day friends!

What a F.A.B.ulous weekend we had here in New England!! Easter was fun, but that fine weather we had was AWESOME!! It was perfect weather for Easter weekend that for the first time since Syd was born ('05) we could actually have the egg hunt outside! It was great and I would share some pics but I forgot my camera! Doh! The first time ever I could have had some decent photos and I forget the camera - grrrrr! Never mind, there will be other times.

Ok, this week's There She Goes Challenge (TSG49) is brought to us by our fabulous Trendsetter, Heather Pulvirenti! Her challenge for us is to use the colors Lemon Yellow, Grass Green and Aqua.

Don't those colors sound so spring-like? I thought so, so I pulled out the recently released Spring Fever set, what I have left of my Farm Fresh paper by October Afternoon, and with this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC63), I managed to whip up this cute little card! I LOVE this color combination!! It's so fresh and clean looking! And this sketch is pretty much my style too - clean and crisp.

For that center panel, I first sponged the sky in with SU's Soft Sky, then I tore a Post-It note in half and sponged in the grass with Old Olive. Then I stamped the bench seat in Timber Brown and heat set clear embossing powder over the top to make is shine just a bit. And that's it!

We'd really love for you to join us on this challenge, so all you have to do is create a card using the provided color combo, then go to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of that challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (April 12). The winner will receive a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

Thank you so much for popping in today! I hope you have a fabulous and productive week!

FFF Challenge: It's A Sketch!

Good Morning and a very happy Friday to you all!

Did you pick up some goodies yesterday from TGF?? I bought a few more Wild Sprouts for my collection. Just wish I could find the time to actually ink them up! LOL How much rubber do you have that hasn't seen ink??

I hope some of you will help us and The Greeting Farm pull together enough Get Well cards for all the sick kiddies. I hope to be sending in a few myself. My heart just breaks when kids are involved. Maybe you could use today's Farm Fresh Friday challenge to create a couple of cards for the drive! It's a sketch challenge this week and it was created by super woman herself - Cindy Haffner!!

I have to admit that I was a little frightened of this sketch because of all the details, but somehow, with a little help from some Cosmo Cricket paper, it all came together pretty quickly! That made a nice change from the rest of the week since everything else was so difficult to piece together.

Instead of the circle panel, I used Toby Cub as the main image and a dove-tailed sentiment tag instead of the oval punch. I thought this sentiment from There She Goes matched Toby well. Kind of has a vintage feel to it with those Cosmo Cricket papers, don't you think?

Please check out what the Farmers and Critter Crew have whipped up for inspiration this week:

Thanks so much for stopping by today and all week! I really hope you enjoyed all the cards. I'll be posting my Etsy Friday Finds later this morning. :)

Supplies
Stamps: The Greeting Farm 'Toby Cub - digi', sentiment from There She Goes 'Bear Hugs'
Inks: StazOn 'Jet Black', Creamy Caramel, Pretty In Pink, Old Olive, Distress Inks 'Frayed Burlap'

Access: Kaiser Crafts Adhesive Pearls, Machine Stitching, Sponges, Dimensionals

The Greeting Farm Release Day!!

Thursday, April 1, 2010

Good Morning Everyone!!

(If you're looking for my Claudia and Company Blog Hop post, please, please scroll down!!)

It's TGF RELEASE DAY and there's NO April Fool's joke here when we say that all new releases are now available in the TGF Store! Woohoo!! We hope you've enjoyed our previews this week and are so excited to welcome the 'Get Well' set by Marina Neira, Stamping Anya, Eric, Dee Dee, and Oliver/Amelia "Buddies" to the TGF Family of rubber! Today is an awesome day and we're so happy you're along for the ride!

Today we are also excited and honored to announce the 1st "TGF Cares" Charity Card Drive. This is something that TGF has been wanting to do for a long time and we have finally been able to put together a card drive for a cause very close to our hearts. A few years ago, Jessica was introduced to a family who was only a few weeks away from losing their two-year old daughter, whose name was also Jessica. Through this terrible tragedy, the family couldn't say enough about how wonderful the Ronald McDonald House was to them, specifically the one near the Fairview Children's Hospital near Minneapolis, MN. (Please see Jessica's blog for more on this touching story.)

There are so many sick children whose families do nothing short of moving mountains for these kids to help them get well. Not only is it important to lift the spirits of these courageous children, but also the families-the parents, siblings, and relatives during all of the emotional ups and downs of a child's fight for life.

TGF is proud and honored to be collecting cards that will go to the RMH in Minneapolis as well as the Fairview Children's Hospital, parents, and siblings of these petite patients during the long and brave journey of theirs. Be sure to stop by the TGF BLOG today for complete details on this special contest close to our hearts.

*********************************************************************************************************
Here's the details:

This contest will run all month long. Today, 4/1/10 through 4/30/10. ALL ENTRIES must be POSTMARKED by 4/30/10 to qualify for any prizes/recognition.

There will be 4 prizes total. ONE GRAND PRIZE and three First prizes. Here's how it will work:

For every 5 cards sent in, you will receive ONE entry for the prize drawings. So for this contest, much like the Pink Poison Olympics, the more you create the more chances you have to win, but in the end, all entries will go into a hat and Random winners will be drawn to give more people a chance to win :) We will keep track of how many entries you're alloted based on the cards you upload in the Galleria, which brings us to our next point:

Please upload your cards to the TGF GALLERIA>CONTESTS/CHALLENGES>TGF CARES. You must, with the EXCEPTION OF SENTIMENTS, use ONLY TGF Stamps on any and all qualifying cards.

THE IMPORTANT "FINE PRINT"
(but big, so you can actually read it!!)

Please SEND IN ALL CARDS AT ONCE. When you are ready to mail your cards, please email Jessica for the address/contact info.

Please read the QUALIFYING stamp criteria carefully above, thank you!

The inside of your card should say something generic, as we don't know if your card will be going to the child or family member/sibling.

Here's an example of what you could write on the inside of your cards:

"Thinking of you and sending lots of well wishes on your journey..."
~(Your Name) from (Your Town and State)
on behalf of TGF Cares Card Drive

Of course ,you can tweak that as you wish, just as long as you get the general idea!

And now...for what's up for grabs:

GRAND PRIZE WINNER will take home the ENTIRE APRIL RELEASE plus (1) 4x6 in stock set of choice PLUS a surprise gift (it's a big one, trust us!)

3 FIRST PRIZE winners will choose 2 IN-STOCK 4x6 sets of their choice EACH!

We hope that our first ever TGF CARES card drive is a huge success and can't thank you enough for wanting to be a part of it.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!
