Hi again!
(If you're looking for my TSG release sneak peek, please scroll down...or stay awhile!)

I'm back with another look at one of Amy Y.'s Sweet November stamps released earlier this month!

Polly reminds me of my little girl right now. She's just started her summer vacation and has been in the pool all day, every day ever since! I can't get the girl out of the water! I get the feeling Polly is exactly the same way! ;)

Polly was colored up with my SU reinkers and aquapainter brush. I used Creamy Caramel for her skin, Pretty in Pink for her cheeks, Regal Rose and Ruby Red for her swimsuit and Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip for her hair and shoes. I CASed a layout I saw on Pinterest, but I forgot to actually pin the card to give it credit later! So sorry! The sentiment is from Amy R.'s Oh So Beachy set.

I'm in the middle of coloring up a bunch of new stamps for the July release and wait until you see what Christine has in store for you next month!! You're going to SQUEAL!! :) The sneak peeks start this coming Tuesday, so mark your calendars girls!

TSG Stitched With Love Blog Hop!

Wednesday, June 27, 2012

Hi everyone!
Are you loving all the sneak peeks so far?! I sure am! Get ready for today's There She Goes sneak peek - it's going to warm your heart!

Last month, we released the CUTEST set by Torico, Cute as a Button. This month, we have it’s PERFECT companion-Stitched With Love! Full of additional images and sentiments, whether used separately, or together, no matter what you create, Stitched With Love will be PERFECT for the crafter in your life (or you!!)!!

Stitched With Love is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 24 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

I was SO hoping Torico would come up with a cross stitch sampler to go with the Cute As A Button set! So you know I squealed out loud when this set arrived in the mail! It even comes with it's own embroidery hoop! Not that I used it on my card though...I wanted to show you how you don't have to use the hoop to create the look of a cross stitch. If the layout looks familiar, it's because I used this week's TSG's #162 challenge sketch for my layout. And that paper....is to die for! It's from MME's Nostalgia collection....LOVING IT!!

What's The Buzz?

Friday, June 22, 2012

Happy Friday everyone!

It's officially summer here in New England...the mosquito's are out in force!! I took the little one down to the local river for a dip in the water and I was attacked by the nasty little buggers! I'm trying not to itch the bites but it's so haaaard to resist! We're headed back there again today, but this time I'm bringing the repellant! I don't know what I was thinking (by not bringing it) yesterday! lol

We live opposite conservation land, so we've seen just about every winged thing there is to see - everything from hawks and hummingbirds to dragonflies and bumble bees! Which is why this week's There She Goes challenge was an easy one for me! :) We're challenging you to use a 'winged thing' on your next project.

There She Goes has a few buggy sets to choose from. For my card I chose to use the Bee Happy mini set. It's one of my favorite mini sets and one of the easiest sets to color! ;) I used SU's (retired) Morning Marigold for the bee's bodies and Cool Caribbean (also retired) for the clouds. The clouds were sponged using Rosie's Roadshow Cloud Template.

The layout is from last week's I Spy Sketches ISSC20 challenge and I think I may have got this one in just in the nick of time! Sweet! I'm usually late to most of the challenge parties these days!

If this set is on your wish list, now would be a good time to grab it and anything else you've had your eye on because there's a sale going on in the There She Goes store!

Next week is the start of the TSG's July release sneak peek's so you may want to hold onto that wishlist for a little bit longer...you may be adding to it soon! lol

Enjoy your weekend!

Oh Crab...I Forgot!

Thursday, June 21, 2012

Happy Thursday everyone!

By lunchtime today my little girl is officially finished with school (we're a little behind the rest of the country here in the north-east)! And I am taking the rest of the week off from work to spend it with her! Yay! We're headed to the local river for a swim since it's going to be a scorcher today! Which is fitting because I have another card to share with you using the sweet Snorkeling Beatrice!

She's a doll isn't she? I love those tiny eyes poking out from behind the goggles! :) I borrowed this month's Sketch For You To Try for my layout, which is why I'm lacking in the layers department! Sometimes simple is good though. Sometimes I need to keep it a little simple! Haha Beatrice is colored in my SU reinkers and Distress Inks for her hair. The ocean background was sponged with SU's retired Cool Caribbean. I used a fun sentiment from the Oh So Beachy set and the shell die to ground the sentiment. The paper is from an old K&Company pad I've had forever now. I love the pop of blue on the orange and pink paper!

Pop on over to the ATS blog for some more inspiration using the Swiss Pixies and Beatrice stamps!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great weekend!

It's Your Day!

Tuesday, June 19, 2012

Good morning!

I hope all the wonderful men in your life had a great day on Sunday. We took my husband out to breakfast then he took a wee nap before heading out to watch our daughter's first dance recital. It was a pretty good day for all of us really. :)

Today, I have another look at one of the newest pixies from Amy Young's Sweet November collection.

Her name is Betsy and she's one of the patriotic pixies! But the nice thing is, she doesn't have to be patriotic. I made a celebratory card using her and one of the sentiments from Amy R.'s new Oh So Beachy set! This could be a birthday card or an achievement card! I love the size of her and the best thing is that she's quick and easy to color! Bonus! :)

I hear there's a few more Sweet November Pixies over at the ATS blog today, so why don't ya pop over there and check them out with me?? I'll race ya!! :)

Thanks for stopping by today.

Just You and Me Under The Sea!

Tuesday, June 12, 2012

Well, I'm back quicker than I thought I'd be! lol

When I wrote yesterday's post, I didn't realize today is another review day for All That Scraps! It's a good thing I had my card ready to go! lol

The ATS design team and I are sharing some new creations using the latest offerings from Christine's Swiss Pixies and Beatrice collections. I shared Snorkeling Beatrice with you all last week, so this week I colored up Mermaid Lucy for you!

I looove coloring in mermaids and fairies for one simple reason.....I get to use glitter! :) There are few things in this world that make you feel like a kid again, but personally, I think one of those things is glitter! Who doesn't love a bit of sparkle on their cards?!

Usually I color in the image first before making the card, but this time, I made the base first then colored up the image. Not sure why, but it worked out pretty well, I think! The papers are from an old like of Bo Bunny. Can you spot some new toys I have?? I got some birthday money from my family, so I bought some much needed crafting goodies! Honestly, the last time I bought paper or ribbon was almost two years ago! Shocking right?! But I digress....back to the card, shall we?! :)

I colored up Lucy with my reinkers and aquapainter brush. I used SU's Creamy Caramel for her face and Pretty In Pink for her cheeks. Then I used Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Ink for her hair. Her fin was colored with Certain Celery, Morning Marigold and Old Olive. Then I added some Star Dust Stickles to her fin and starfish hair clip. The logo is from the new Beach Logo's set and the sentiment is from Amy R.'s Oh So Beachy sentiment set. Oh! And tucked just behind Lucy, is the new bubble border die from ATS! The layout is this week's Viva La Verve sketch....I couldn't pass up all the layers! ;)

If you need to feed your ATS addiction just a little bit more, then head on over to the ATS blog to check out what the rest of the design team whipped up for you today!

Thanks for stopping by today!

TSG160: Circles, Circles, Circles!

Monday, June 11, 2012

Good Morning!

We had a gorgeous (and busy) weekend. Syd had a dance class and her last Spring baseball game on Saturday and we took a quick trip out to a Vermont Habitat For Humanity store. They collect and sell doors, windows, cabinets, kitchen sinks...any house hold thing you can think of, they've got one! We were on a mission to buy some old cross handled faucets for our new (to us) pedestal sink. They didn't have any of those, but we did find a few, beautifully patinaed, brass coat hooks for the towels and a curious three-legged side table with an attached lamp! Hubby fell in love with it and I could kind of see it's potential, so it came home with us! Now, if I could just find the right reading chair to go with it.... ;)

So, between dancing and bargain basement shopping, I managed to make a card for this week's There She Goes challenge! Shocker, right?! ;) This week's challenge is being supplied by our featured Trendsetter, the fabulous Debby Hughes! Her challenge is for us to use circles somewhere, somehow on your cards! Easy peasy, right?!

What's that? I haven't used circles on my card?? Look a little closer and you'll see them!

Can you see them now?? I used circles punched out of paper to create this quilters pattern! I love how this looks and how easy it was! Fiddly, but easy! To make this pattern, either get some double sided paper or two sheets of coordinating paper. Then, using a circle punch, cut out 7 circles (I used a 7/8" circle punch). If you're not using double sided paper (or don't like the other side of the paper), cut out 7 squares, 3/4" in size. Next, using your Scor-pal, score a square on the inside of the circle making sure the corners touch the edges of the circle. Tape your 3/4" square pieces to the inside of the circles and fold the edges inwards, along these score lines. Then it's just a matter of adhering the circles on your card base to create this pattern! To finish my card off, I added a tiny button and twine to the center and a sentiment from the adorable Cute As A Button set. If you can't tell already, I've been so inspired by Torico's cards lately, so this is an homage to her!

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using the inspiration photo, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (June 18th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!
By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG160 so we can check out your beautiful work!

ATS Sneak Peek - Day 3!!

Thursday, June 7, 2012

It's Day Three of the All That Scraps June release sneak peeks!

Amy Young has done it again and come up with a bunch of summer pixies you're going to fall in love with! I got to play with one of the pixies from the Tadpole swim team....

Meet Pixie Polly!

You love her too right?? I mean, what's not to love! She's cute, colorful and wicked easy to color! lol She was colored with my reinkers and aquapainter brush on Canson Manga cardstock and cut out with some precision scissors.

I borrowed Retro Sketches first ever sketch for my layout. I'm only 3 months late on using it, but hey - it's better late than never, right?! :) The paper is an OLD stash of American Crafts that I've had lying around for about 6 years now! I knew it'd come in handy eventually! lol I used ATS's small ticket die and a matching stamp from the new Beach Logo's set. Christine came up with some awesome coordinating dies for this release! See that shell? It's a die cut! I cut it from some plain white cardstock and colored it with my Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and added the stippling with a Micron pen.

This week, (for the first time ever in a long, long time!), I'm entering this card into these challenges:

Freshly Brewed Challenges - Pop It
Cookin It Up With Katie - Celebrate with Ribbon and a Die Cut
Fashionista Challenge - Simply Summer
The Pink Elephant - Vibrant Colors
All Sorts Challenge Blog - Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside

ATS June Sneak Peeks - Day 1!!

Tuesday, June 5, 2012

Good Morning!

It's time for the June sneak peeks from All That Scraps and you're going to LOVE this month's stamps!! It's all about the sun and surf this month and today we're kicking off things with some cuties from Christine's Swiss Pixies and Beatrice collections!

Meet Snorkeling Beatrice!

How cute is are those goggles?! So adorable, right??

To make this card I colored up Beatrice with my reinkers and aquapainter brush, then I cut her out with my circle nesties. Next, I matted the panel with some kraft cardstock and used my scalloped decorative scissors to cut the reversed scalloped edge on the circle panel. Then, I made the base of the card with some old paper from Bo Bunny, which I distressed with scissors and Distress Ink. Then I added a little net ribbon and do you see that bubble border....yep! You guessed it! It's a new die for this month! It's another must have for all you die hoarders out there! lol Oh, and what that? The starfish under the bakers twine...why yes! That's another new die being released this month! Love them both! Christine knows a thing or two about coordination, doesn't she?!

A card just isn't a card without at least one sentiment! So I added a couple of them! The Beach Babe one is from the newest Logos set, called Beach Logos (cut with the Circle Die), and the Seas The Day sentiment is from Amy R.'s new Oh So Beachy sentimet set! Makes you want to take up snorkeling doesn't it?! (Only if the sharks would disappear! lol)

I know you're going to see what else is being released this month, so head on over to the ATS blog to check out what the rest of the Design Team have created for you! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll be back on Thursday with another sneak peek!

TSG159: Inspiration Challenge

Monday, June 4, 2012

Good Morning!

We had a very rainy weekend here in New England, but I didn't mind since we've had a lot of nice weekends and I've spent most of them outside catching up on all my gardening chores, so it was nice to relax a little this time around. I hope you had a lovely one too! Which means I had time to make a card for this week's There She Goes challenge.

This week's challenge is being dished out by our featured Trendsetter, Tobi Crawford! She picked this sweet bird embellishment for some inspiration. The best thing about inspiration challenges is that you can use any part of the image to inspire you!

I was inspired by all the colors in the inspiration photo, so I picked out these coveted pieces of Farm Fresh and Fly A Kite paper from October Afternoon, and paired them with the UDDERLY adorable cow from the new Oh Crop set!

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using cork and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (June 4th).
