TSG Jungle Out There Sneak Peek!!

Thursday, March 29, 2012

Welcome to the third day of the There She Goes April releases! This is the last day of the releases, but we have another fabulous set to show off!

You loved her Zoo-pendous set, and well, everything else she has created, but Melyssa has knocked this one out of the park!! Whether making a card for a boy or girl, man or woman, or scrapbooking your latest trip to the zoo, there is something in her new Jungle Out There set for you! Full of the CUTEST animals, and most hilarious sentiments, what’s not to love??

Jungle Out There is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 20 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

I had to fit as many of the images on one card as I could, but man! - these images are big! It was getting a little crowded on the card, which is why I used this particular sentiment! I used up the last of my Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy paper (*sob*) on this card, but it was totally worth it!

Would you like to win the new Jungle Out There stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post. You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday March 31th with the winner being announced during the release party chat.

TSG When I Grow Up Sneak Peek!!

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

Welcome to the second day of the There She Goes April releases! Today we have an awesome set for anyone who, as a kid, ever dressed up in their mum or dad's clothes - I know I did!

I think we can all remember back to a time when we idolized our parents, most of us still do, and we wanted to grow up to be just like them. I mean, what girl hasn't put on their mom’s shoes, and what boy hasn’t worn Dad’s tie? Just in time for Mother and Father’s Day, Torico has illustrated the sweetest dress up set for us all!!

When I Grow Up is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 15 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

When I raided my mum's clothes closet as a kid, I went straight for her shoes! She had this pair of camel colored knee high boots that I LOVED to try on! I don't remember her ever wearing them, so I think they were officially 'put out to pasture' when I was born, but I never forgot them! So naturally, I gravitated towards the little girl in this awesome set. After coloring her with my reinkers and aqupainter brush, I cut her out with some scissors and a plate (yeah, I used a plate to create my curved edges - no fancy cutting die here!). I then used papers from MME's Lost & Found collection and a pretty simple layout.

Would you like to win the new When I Grow Up stamp set?

Here's a list of blogs you'll definitely want to visit for more sneak peeks! :)

TSG Ruh-Roh Sneak Peek!!

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

Hi Everyone! Welcome to the first day of the There She Goes April releases! This is one release you don't want to miss!

We know you love them, and we love them too, and I think this month’s Ruh-Roh set, is going to become one of your favorites! Torico has illustrated the sweetest mini set, and for all you dog lovers out there, yep, there’s a puppy in this one...and he is up to no good!! Which is why you need all the sentiments - to make those apology cards!!

Ruh-roh is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 9 stamps and will sell for $7.00.

Look at those eyes! Dogs know exactly when they've done something bad, don't they?! They look up at you with those puppy dog eyes and it makes you feel so bad to punish them. I used that feeling as a theme for this card. Instead of coloring the background of my image with a bright blue, like I usually do, I used SU's Sahara Sand to create more of a solemn mood for this poor little pooch! The papers are from Basic Grey's Oliver collection and the layout is this week's TSG 149 sketch.

We used to have a dog and he definitely had ruh-roh moments, but now we have a cat and he...well, he most definitely does not have those moments! He likes to wait until we've gone to bed before popping the lid off the filter in the fish tank downstairs! The little bugger.

Would you like to win the new Ruh-Roh set?

Here's a list of blogs you should be hitting up! :)

See you back here tomorrow with another sneak peek!!

You Crack Me Up!

Friday, March 23, 2012

Happy Friday everyone!

Did you have a good week? I hope so! I've been holed up in a meeting room again all week redesigning that warehouse for our corporate offices. I don't think the 'higher ups' have any idea what goes into designing a space. There's so much to think about - even for a preliminary design! But I'm having a little fun in the process, so it's all good!

All this week on the There She Goes blog, we've been revisiting a few of the older sets and today the Trendsetters have whipped up a whole set of new cards for you using these sets! You can check them out on the TSG blog, but before you do, check out my card! :)

For my card, I chose to use the Hunny Bunnies set but instead of using the main image, I decided to take a take a page out of Torico's book and create a card using a smaller image from the set instead. And I absolutely love it!

To make this card, I used papers from Crate Paper (the base paper), October Afternoon (the polka dots) and Cosmo Cricket (the floral paper)! I also used this week's Card Patterns #157 sketch for my layout. To create the image, I stamped out the solid egg a few times (along a pencil line) then stamped the chick in the egg, then a solid egg again. Then, using my Going Gray SU reinker, I colored in the shadow below the egg and I used Cool Caribbean for the background around the eggs above the line. The shadowed areas on the eggs were done with Distress Ink's Antique Linen. I used Morning Marigold on the chick and a little bit of Really Rust for the shadows. To pull the whole scene together, I used a Micron pen and a ruler to draw a line around the panel.

Now you can zip over to the TSG blog and check out the other fabulous cards! Hahaha Thanks so much for stopping by this week!

Farm Fresh Eggs....and a bunny!

Thursday, March 22, 2012

Good Morning!

Have you ever been so busy that you've totally misread something that was clearly stated? I did that this week with my ATS card. I was meant to make a card using Amy Young's Sweet November stamps, but instead, I made this card...no Sweet November stamps in sight!

Bugger.

But not all was lost because now I have something to show fans on the ATS blog today instead! It all worked out for the best in the end. Phew! ;)

I've been inspired lately by all the wonderful cards the ATS girls have been making with their March release stamps...talk about talented!! So I decided to create a layered card using Bunny Fufu from the Spring Has Sprung set and the sentiment from the Spring Logo's set.

To make this card, I first stamped out the egg image a few times onto a strip of Strathmore Bristol Vellum cardstock and colored them up with a bunch of SU reinkers. Then I stamped out Bunny FuFu onto some scrap paper and colored her (him?) with my Going Gray SU reinker. Next, I cut Bunny Fufu out and popped her onto the main panel with dimensionals. To make the base, I pulled some (very old!) Basic Grey paper from their Oh Baby! Girl collection and matted it to some plain Georgia Pacific cardstock and a kraft cardstock base. The egg panel was matted with the same GP cardstock, which was trimmed using some small scalloped scissors. Then it was matted again with kraft cardstock, which was punched with EK Success's scalloped edge punch. I made the tag using one of PTI's Half & Half dies, sponging the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink and matting it with Bitter Chocolate cardstock by Bazzil Basics. And that's it! A pretty simple card, but then again, that Basic Grey paper was soooo busy, it didn't need much else!

Thanks so much for popping in today! I hope to see you tomorrow!

Supplies
Stamps: All That Scraps 'Spring Has Sprung' and 'Spring Logo's'

There She Goes....Sale!!

Monday, March 19, 2012

Good Morning Everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! It was absolutely glorious here in New Hampshire and we spent every minute of it outside. :)

But, just in case it might not be so nice where you are, or you're just looking for an excuse to buy something, there's a sale going on over at the There She Goes store all this week!

If you need some inspiration, the TSG blog will be full of cards and projects using these sets every day this week, so check them out!

Make A Wish...Eloise Greengrass!

Sunday, March 18, 2012

Happy Sunday everyone!

I had a humungous job at work this week....to design an entire building (2 floors) retrofit with offices, cubes, kitchen and cafeteria, bathrooms and such to suit all the departments that make up our firm. I used to work for architects, but that's it! I'm thrilled to be given this chance to show what I can do though. Hopefully it will lead to more design work!

Besides that, I had a little fun this week. Last month, when I had my two stamping besties, Kadie and Mary over my place, I threw together a little card kit for us to work on. Well, time wasn't on our sides (to work on them) when they were here, so we took them home and agreed to share them with each other and our followers today! So along with you, I'm seeing them for the first time too!

Isn't she the sweetest thing you have ever seen?! Meet Eloise Greengrass from the Chichiboulie Fairie line of stamps from Stamping Bella. In the kit was this funky paper from Basic Grey, called Out Of Print, some paper flowers, a brad, some spotted ribbon (which I ended up not using) and some of this gorgeous lace.

I pulled out my reinkers and aquapainter brush and colored Eloise up in some dainty colors - Tattered Rose and Victorian Velvet from Distress Inks. Then I colored in the background with SU's Cool Caribbean and Old Olive for the grass. The teeny, tiny sentiment is from PTI's Mixed Messages stamp set. I kept the layout pretty simple since the paper was so busy.

Now pop on over to Miss Kadie's and Miss Mary's blog to check out what they did with their kit! I know they're going to knock your socks off!

Thanks so much for stopping by this week! We're spending the day outside cleaning up the yard getting it ready for Spring. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

PS. This month's Dirty Dozen gallery is open for viewing and the theme is 'In Stitches'! If you love a laugh or just love stitching on cards, this gallery is a must-see!

Butterfly Butterfly!

Wednesday, March 14, 2012

Hi everyone!

Hope your week has been good to you so far. I accidentally slept in yesterday morning, but I managed to get my little girl and myself dressed, fed and backpack filled in under 40mins! All without any tears too! It might have been a record for us, but one that I'm not willing to try and break any time soon! lol Apparently no one told my body that the clocks had been wound forward an hour! It doesn't help that the alarm is set for my husband to get up at 4:45am and by the time I have to get up, the snooze button no longer works. Might be time for another alarm clock, I think.

I have another All That Scraps card to share with you today!

Butterfly Lucy is a doll, isn't she?! She is one of the other Swiss Pixies released last week along with Bunny Lucy and Ima Butterfly.

To make this card I used some of my favorite papers from Basic Grey's retired Urban Prairie collection,a strip of polka dot paper from MME (that I've been hoarding for just the right card!) and the oval panel was another piece of MME scrap. I borrowed this week's Sketch Saturday's #198 sketch for my layout, which I turned on it's side, as well as Dutch Dare Card Challenge #155 recipe from this week to build my card with. I had to use one stamped image, one sentiment, 2 ribbons (twine is a ribbon, right?!), 3 patterned papers and 4 embellishments.

Here's a close up of some of the details on the card. I sponged each panel with Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress Ink and sewed them to some matching cardstock. I love to use Bazzil Basics cardstock, because of the texture, but I don't like how you can't stamp on it very well, so to make the logo, I stamped the Spring Logo's image onto the back of the cardstock instead! Brilliant, right?! See, I'm not just a computer geek! ;)

If you'd like to see some fabulous cards from ATS design team, then head on over to the ATS blog where the girls have created a bunch of new cards with these new stamps!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll be back on Friday with another card!

TSG and Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge!

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

Good Morning everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We had an awesome one! We had a little dusting on Saturday morning, then on Sunday the weather was glorious! We could finally venture outside without a jacket on....it was fabulous! And it's supposed to be this way all week! I can't tell you how good it feels to feel the warmth of the sun on my face again! *sigh*

I made what seemed like a bazillion cards this weekend (most of them for the Dirty Dozen Gallery), but one of them was this one for the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge that There She Goes is sponsoring this week!

Ever since I got this My Little Friend stamp set in the mail a few weeks back, I've been dying to color this mushroom house up! But it didn't work with any of the layouts I have seen....up until now! (Please head on over to the TMS blog to check out the sketch and other details.)

To make this card, I first stamped the image with StazOn 'Jet Black' ink, then cut it out with an oval nestie, making sure to off-center the image so I left enough room for the sentiment. Then I colored it in with my SU reinkers and aquapainter brush. Then I stamped out the 'gnome' words from one of the sentiments in the set onto some kraft cardstock and the 'sweet' word from the BOL Holiday Additions set to create this custom sentiment! The background was time consuming, but it followed the sketch, and I'm not usually one to shy away from a challenge! ;)

Well, I hope you can join us and the TMS crew this week! I know a few of the Trendsetters are playing along, so you should too!

See you tomorrow!

Stamps: There She Goes 'My Little Friend' and 'BOL Holiday Additions'

ATS Release Day!!

Friday, March 9, 2012

Happy Friday everyone!

I just popped in to remind everyone that today is release day at All That Scraps and all the stamps and dies you've seen this week are now available in the store!

Just in case you need a reminder on how cute these stamps are, here's one more card from me!

This is the adorable little bunny from the Spring Has Sprung set and I've paired him with one of the circle logo's from the Spring Logo's set. Did you see all the gorgeous samples the design team created this week?! I was so inspired by their work! They definitely got my brain working overtime on what to do for my next ATS card!

Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? We're keeping things pretty low key; the little one has dance class on Saturday morning, then baseball try outs in the afternoon, and Sunday I think we're sticking close to home. The weather is supposed to be absolutely gorgeous on Sunday, so I'm planning to be outside for much of it as possible! Soak up some of that Spring sun! :)

Have a great one, whatever it is you're doing!

ATS March Release Sneak Peek - Day Three!

Thursday, March 8, 2012

It's Day Three and the final day of the All That Scraps March releases!

Have you been enjoying all the sneak peeks this week?! I hope so! Today I've got a couple of Sweet November stamps to share with you!

Meet Penelope and Zip!! They're paired up and ready to have some fun!

The sentiment is another stamp from the soon to be released Spring Logo's set and because it was an Irish blessing I colored in Penelope with some bluey-green reinkers and gave her some rockin red shoes! But I couldn't let her steal all the limelight, so I made Zip sparkle with some glitter on his wings!

To make this card, I stamped out the sentiment onto some Strathmore Bristol paper, then cut it out using the Spellbinders deckled oval nestie and sponged the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink. After coloring in Penelope and Zip, I cut them out with my precision scissors. For the base, I used some retired paper from Basic Grey. I distressed the edges of the lighter paper then zigzag stitched it to some tan cardstock. Next, I cut out the blue paper with the Spellbinders Labels 4 nestie, sponged the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink and adhered it to the lighter base. Then I added the button (from PTI) and the rustic twine to pull the whole card together!

Would you like to win these stamps? Then head on over to the All That Scraps blog and leave your name in the InLinkz at the bottom of the post to be in with a chance!

Don't forget! The new stamps and dies will be available to purchase from the ATS store at 10pm CST tonight!!

ATS March Release Sneak Peek - Day Two!

Wednesday, March 7, 2012

Hi everyone! I'm so thrilled you're all enjoying the sneak peeks!

It's day two of the All That Scraps March releases and we've got another set of cuties to share with you all that are perfect for any spring-themed card! The set is called Spring Has Sprung and it's designed by ATS owner and illustrator, Christine Wooden.

There are three adorable images in this set but today, I'm sharing just one of them with you. Meet Lambie!! I'm a bit partial to sheep since I was born in the land where sheep are far more common than people...can you guess where?! Hint: The country is made up of two islands!

She is just the sweetest thing! I wanted to make her center stage, so I used Jen's Deconstructing Sketch (DS41) for my layout. It worked beautifully with these papers from Jillibean Soup, Memory Box and Basic Grey! But it wasn't so easy to pick them out. I am not going to lie to you - I was having a bad paper-picking week when I made this card! Well, not this particular card, but the two others I made before this one! They were not springy enough for Lambie! Soooo thankful these papers came together just in the nick of time!

I colored in Lambie with my SU reinkers and water pen, then cut her out with a Spellbinders circle nestie. Then matted it with some Bitter Chocolate Bazzil Basics cardstock. For the base, I machine stitched the Jillibean Soup 'Old World Cabbage Stew', Basic Grey 'Wisteria' and Memory Box 'Valise' paper to some more Bitter Chocolate cardstock, and used EK Success's edge punch on the horizontal strip. Then I added some twill ribbon, made a bow and adhered it to the card. See that ticket?? It's another stamp from the Spring Logo's set being released this week! I've never used a ticket on a card before....but you can bet I'll be using one again! I loooove the look of them!

If you want to see what the other images are in the set, then head on over to the ATS blog! You'll see cards from the rest of the design team AND if you leave your name in the InLinkz at the bottom of the blog post, then you have a chance to win yourself the set! Just by leaving your name! How easy is that?!

I have one more sneak peek tomorrow for you, so I'll see you then!
Thanks for stopping by today!

ATS March Release Sneak Peek - Day One!

Tuesday, March 6, 2012

Today's the day! Today's the day!

Yep! It's time for the All That Scraps sneak peeks to begin and today the girls' and I are sharing stamps from the C.C. Design Swiss Pixies line! This month they're all about butterflies and bunnies - just in time for Easter!

Isn't she adorable in that little bunny hat?! I literally squealed when I saw her and the rest of the C.C. Designs Swiss Pixies for this release! Her name is Bunny Lucy and she's one of 3 new Swiss Pixie stamps designed by ATS owner and illustrator, Christine Wooden.

We're only just coming out of winter here in New England, so it was really refreshing to pull a bunch of spring paper out for this card! I ended up used some paper from Basic Grey's Sweet Threads line and some scrap from K&Company's Cut 'n' Paste collection. I stamped Bunny Lucy on some Strathmore Bristol paper, then colored her with my reinkers, ink pads and water brush (SU's Blushing Bride for her skin and Distress Ink's - Tea Dye,Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain - for her clothes and hair). Next. I cut her out and adhered her to an oval panel cut using Spellbinders Oval and Scalloped Oval Nesties, that I sponged with Antique Linen. The tag was created using PTI's Half and Half die and one of the stamps from the brand new Spring Logo's set this month. Isn't it awesome?! I bet you're wondering why I used an egg sentiment stamp with Bunny Lucy, right? Because it's the Easter Bunny who is always hiding the eggs!! Why there's not an Easter Hen, I'll never know! LOL

I know you'll want to see the rest of the Swiss Pixies and what the girls from the design team have created, so head on over to the All That Scraps blog to check them out. And if you'd like to win yourself some stamps from this release, then leave your name in the InLinkz do-dad thing at the bottom of the preview post so you can be in the running!

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to swing by tomorrow for another sneak peek!

ATS Previews Start Tomorrow!

Monday, March 5, 2012

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow marks the beginning of three days of sneak peeks of the March releases for All That Scraps!! I can't wait for you to see all the uber cute stamps Christine and Amy Y. have whipped up for you all!

It all starts over at the ATS blog tomorrow, at 9am CST!
See you then!

TSG146: Tag! You're It!

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. This was the first weekend in months that I've had no visitors or guests or any agenda of any kind...and it was sooo nice! On Saturday, I took the Little Ray of Sunshine to her dance class, then slept the afternoon away. I had a nagging neck/headache that refused to go away (anyone else ever get that?). On Sunday we all went grocery shopping, then went to see the new Lorax movie (which we all loved!), then it was chores for the rest of the evening. Not a bad way to spend the weekend, right?! :)

This week's There She Goes challenge TSG146 was dreamed up by one of our newest Trendsetters, Kim O'Connell! She's challenging us to create tags instead of a card! I hope you'll help us welcome her by playing along this week!

I couldn't decide whether to go with a simple one or a fancy one...so I did both!

Here's one I made using the Bon Appetit set and some scrap October Afternoon paper (Modern Homemaker), the Spellbinders Labels 8 Nestie for the base and some ric rac ribbon. Easy peesy!

This one took a little more time, but I loooove the look of it! I used an oval and scalloped oval nestie for the base, then the Labels 8 Nestie for the main panel. The sweet star and swirls are from the Bit of Stardust set. I stamped them in Milled Lavender Distress Ink and sponged the edges with Antique Linen. I couldn't resist added a little twinkle to the middle of the star! ;)

This tag was especially inspired by the latest addition to the MacLean family! My husband's cousin and his wife welcomed their first child via adoption last week and I couldn't be more happy for them!! Welcome Baby A!!

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using the sketch as inspiration and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (March 12th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG146 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
