Basic Grey Breakdown

Hello everyone!

I'm back home in New Hampshire now and probably slaving away at work when you read this. No rest for the wicked that's for sure! But is sure is good to be home. I didn't get much time on the computer over this trip (besides setting up my blog posts), so I feel like I was going through withdrawls and I got my fix this morning! LOL

The card I have to show you today is something that I created a few months ago. I didn't get around to showing you all it then, but I am now since I ran out of time to create anything new for today. It's amazing the difference in my style, or rather techniques, in that short space of time.

Back then I rarely sponged anything, but if I had made this card last night, I would have definitely sponged the edges. I feel like it's almost unfinished if I don't! LOL It really does add a lot of depth to a card which is why I like to do it. This card uses a mini set from There She Goes stamp company. I really liked this set for that sentiment. It rings so true.

I took the flowers and stamped them twice; once along the bottom and then again almost at the top so it made them appear to be longer in length. Then it was just a matter of stacking the different layers so that the sentiment was framed.

Hopefully I'm not too tired tonight to make a card to show you tomorrow. Or else I may be sadly absent tomorrow. :(

Stamps: There She Goes 'Thinking Of You' mini set
Inks: Pretty in Pink, True Thyme, Versamark
Papers: Bazzil cs, Georgia Pacific cs, PP - Basic Grey 'Sugared Collection - Darling, Delectable & Dumpling'
Access: Robin's nest dew drops, dimensionals, clear embossing powder

Sandra glad your home safe and sound. Get some rest. I'm sure if you miss a day we won't have withdrawal...two days, I'm not so sure about though. Just kidding. BWO ya know.

Sandra, I love checking your blog, not only for your gorgeous cards, but I have a lot in common with you. I'm seriously going through a "stage" where I'm inking everything. Kinda like my stitching obsession. Now i'm stitching and sponging. Geesh. So, I'm totally with ya on the sponging thing. great card.

It is fun to look back and watch your own evolution, isn't it? I have to say, though, that I love this one just as much as your more recent works of art!
