Such A Beach Bum!

Days just fly by don't they?!

One minute it's Monday, then before you know it, it's mid way through the week already! I feel like I need to make better use of my time or start keeping task lists rather than keeping them in my head because I tell ya, things are just getting out of hand in the MacLean household! *insert frazzled look here*

I could use a day at the beach right about now. :) Ahhhh, yes....soaking up some of that glorious sun, and the sound of waves lapping the shore line...ahhh, yes please! The sound I'm currently trying to block out is a chainsaw digging it's teeth into a tree right outside our apartment. Not so pleasant!

At least I could daydream for a bit while making these little beauties for you! These beach dwellers are from Anna Wight's new Whipper Snapper cling set, aptly named 'Beach Bum'. :) I wanna be a beach bum!

From the moment this set arrived on my doorstep, I have wanted to stamp this chicken up! But I showed some restraint and let him sit while I showed some of the other stamps some loving. haha Isn't he just the best?! I colored him up with some yellow reinkers and then gave him some sunburn...oops! I mean 'color' with the Really Rust reinker. :) Although, if you ask my husband, he thinks Mr. Chicken now has a bad case of the pox! LOL

My second card is a tribute to the quintessential beach bum - Mr. Crab! No one loves the sand and surf more than him. He can withstand all the elements because of that tough shell of his. Ever had heat stroke? I did once as a kid and let me tell you - it ain't fun!

Speaking of tans and sun; last winter my dear friend back in Australia sent me photos of her and her family and the first thing I blurted out was "Geez, will you look how tanned they are!" Stuck in the middle of a New England winter, their tans looked like golden rays of sunshine! It's already June and my skin looks as pasty white as it did in January - time to do something about it, I think.

Have a fabulous day!!

Love the rich colors on both cards and that fried chicken sentiment cracks me up everytime I see it. Love how you did the sandy ground on the chicken.

Simply fabulous cards! The colors are so rich, and the fried chicken sentiment is too funny! Oh sweetie, I've adopted "pale is the new tan" LOL! Healthier and less wrinkling, although "tan in a can" is tempting me righ now! I just have to find one that won't make me look mac-n-cheese orange! tee-hee-hee! {hug}

You are a riot!!! I love your sense of humor...always makes me smile or burst into laughter making everyone around me think I'm wacko.

Both of these cards are fabulous, but the sun-bathing chicken is hysterical!!! Fried chicken? Yup! He looks a little crispy to me! You are absolutely amazing!!!! Everything you create is a true work of art!!!

Hugs!
