Welcome Anya/Ian fans!

Hi Everyone!!

I hope you're all having a really fun time this evening on the blog hop! I know I am! I think The Greeting Farm / Anya fans are the most creative bunch of designers out there. You guys never cease to amaze me with your creativity and originality!

Since Marie asked the question last week on who our favorite inspirations were, I've been thinking about who my biggest inspirations are. I like two distinct styles of designers; the ornate and the clean and simple. Ornate designers like Claudia, Tosh and Kim because of their crazy good talent that I like to try once in a while and then the clean cut and amazing coloring styles of Anna, Leigh and Paula.

Since my style is closer to the clean cut style, I tried to channel some of Claudia's jaw dropping talent to challenge myself a bit. I only hope I did her some justice!

For this blog hop, I used the petite Anya from the 'Pretty Hat' set. I love how sweet and demure this Anya is. I stamped her on some Canson watercolor paper and colored her up with SU inks and an aquapainter. Then I cut her out and ran a sharpie around the edges of her to cover the white edges of the paper. For the base layer I cut a square of K & Company patterned paper into two triangles, sponged the edges of them with Tea Dye Distress Inks and then matted them with some Bazzil cardstock. I then added a hidden piece of thin cardstock to the back of the two triangles to keep them in place and added some ribbon to the front of them.

The next layer is an acetate journaling tag that I found at Michaels in the paper aisle. It's cool isn't it?! I've never used acetate before so this is a first for me. I added a matted circle of patterned paper to the center of it for the sentiment. Then I added the flowers (also from Michaels), antique brads and last but not least Pretty Hat Anya and her little dog.

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight and have fun on the rest of the blog hop!
