Summer Time and the Living is Easy

A happy Saturday to you all. I hope you all have a fun day planned. Syd and I and her Narnie are planning an afternoon of shopping (Narnie's doing the shopping). As promised, here's a look at one of the clear sets Hanna Stamps is releasing this Monday night.

Introducing To The Beach!

This is one of the new sets being released this Monday night (4th May at 9pm EST) after the release party in the Hanna Stamps forum on SCS -----> HERE. This set just cracks me up! The giant body builder with the pin sized head! Actually, come to think of it; he reminds me of my brother. Bhahahaha!!

This set is a 4" x 8" set because of a few large images (muscle man, beach babe and the surf board) and contains 14 individual stamps. I've used 8 between these two cards.

I don't know about you, but I think muscle man and beach babe have been in the sun a bit too long. Or maybe they've just been spending too much time in the spray tanning booth! ;) I couldn't help myself when I was coloring them in! hehe

For the surfboard card, I used this week's SCS Sketch Challenge SC226. It worked perfectly with the tall surfboard image. For my bottom horizontal panel, I used a piece of acetate and randomly stamped the starfish image on it with StazOn ink. Then I adhered the acetate with white brads in each corner. For the reverse scalloped edges on the circle panel and the vertical panel, I flipped my scalloped decorative scissors to create this effect. I like the effect it creates for the beach theme. And adding twine just instantly makes a card feel nautical! :)

The second card has a lot of coloring, cutting, tearing and sponging on it. The set has a lot of beach accessories that you can add as much, or as little, to your beach scene as you want.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Hanna girls' blogs to see what they're up to as well as our fabulous guest designers this month. Their blogs are listed in the left hand column.

Enjoy your Saturday, whatever it is you're doing!

Your surfboard card is perfection. The twine really adds a realness to the beach effect. And I really like how you did the sentiment.

That second card is awesome too. I just think that muscleman stamp is ridiculous! (as in hilarious) It is so funny and so over the top. I LOVE how you added the glasses and I really like the white haired beauty too. :)
