Can you believe it?!!! Me?? A Whipper Snapper Featured Designer?!! Wow!

As you can imagine, I have been grinning like a cheshire cat ever since Anna asked me to be one of her May/June featured designers for her cling sets. I've kept this secret for the past couple of months but today, I can finally shout it from the roof tops! Wahoooooo!! Honestly, this is more than a dream come true for me and I'm so excited to show you my card today. :)

This month, Anna and Whipper Snapper are releasing two cling sets with a really fun beach/aquatic theme. There are fish, sea horses, sand castles and yes, there's even a chicken in these sets! I really wanted to show you the super cute submarine from the 'Swimmin' By set for my first card.

I'll tell ya; I was going to paint this submarine yellow, but luckily I pulled this patterned paper from my K&Company stash and it convinced me to go with a red and white combo. So glad I listened to myself ;) The sub and school of fish were watercolored with SU reinkers and an aquapainter on watercolor paper and the background was sponged with Cool Caribean and Buckaroo Blue. I then watercolored a second submarine image, cut it out and popped it on dimensionals. To give the edges a crisp, black edge, I carefully run a black marker around the edges to clean them up. For some extra pop, I added some Stickles to the fish and some clear embossing powder to the portholes.
