My Favorite Mummy Challenge

Thursday, September 3, 2009

Good Morning!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who stopped by yesterday to congratulate me on the news! There's definitely a spring in my step today! :) Can't wait to get started!

Ok, onto today's card! For the past few months me, Kadie and Mary have been sending each other card kits to play with to see what kinds of cards we'll come up with using the same supplies. This month was my turn and as I was thinking about what to do, a rather large package arrived at my doorstep - my Whipper Snapper order!! So to celebrate my favorite holiday, I put together some fun Halloween supplies and today we get to see what we girls made with them!

Aren't these papers YUMMY?! I think they're from Creative Imaginations and Making Memories, but I threw out the tags last weekend when I cleaned up my desk, so I can't be sure now. (See?! It doesn't pay to clean up!)

I sent the girls images of the recently released for Fall 2009 'My Favorite Mummy' rubber stamp. I just couldn't resist him for my collection! He's a good size too. I used the ribbon, twine and buttons from the kit to. My Mummy was colored up with just a few colors. Some Antique Linen for his body, Tea Dye for the shadows and of course some Pumpkin Pie for his candy holder, then some Black Soot for the background. Backgrounds are hard to do with a dark color such as black, so I tend to apply it sparingly. The layout is from a new sketch challenge blog which has my girl Amy on their DT. :) Get Sketchy #3 was this week's sketch. I really didn't want to cover up that glitter paper so this sketch was perfect!

Can't wait to check out what Kadie and Mary did with their supplies! I'm heading to their blogs now....you should too! :)

Tomorrow I'll have some Hanna Stamps sneak peeks to show you! So I'll see you then!

Supplies
Stamps: Whipper Snapper 'My Favorite Mummy' and 'Happy Halloween'

Papers: Georgia Pacific, Bazzil Basics, PP - I think they were Creative Imaginations and Making Memories
