Hi there!
I hope you're all enjoying your week so far. Just when we thought Spring was finally here, we received 10 inches of snow yesterday! Wahhh! I was getting all excited about the nicer weather and now I see nothing but the white stuff everywhere! :( Hopefully we have a warm day soon and all of this melts away! I have honey bees coming in a few weeks - it HAS to warm up soon! lol
So I did get around to making a couple of cards this weekend, but they're scheduled to post tomorrow and Friday...so I thought I'd share with you another cross stitch I did many years ago.
It's from the same pattern and designer as the bee hive one I showed you a few weeks ago. The nicest thing happened after I shared that piece with you too! A lovely lady by the name of Julia sent me an email saying she had the pattern for the bee hive and sent me it so I could finally finish it after all these years! And you better believe that I did too - in a few short hours! Amazing things can happen when you blog! Thank you Julia!
So, now that I have a copy of the pattern again, I can tell you that both pieces are from a pattern called 'Blessings of the Earth' by The Design Connection company. This one is slightly bigger than the bee hive one, but just as detailed. All the shadow work you see is done with a single thread and a single stitch in one direction only! I did this so long ago, that I don't remember how long it took me, but I'm pretty sure it took a while! lol
Here's a close up of the stitches...
I think I'm going to make this one into a chair pillow for my laundry room. It's too big to frame and I have very little wall space left!
This past weekend, I finished up my February pattern by Little House Needleworks, so I'll share that with you next week. Thanks for letting me share all of my hobbies with you!
Hugs,
Sandra

Ooo - how pretty, Sandra! I have one side of the white on the border left before I'm done with my February Sheep. I've been slow this month! I should be able to finish it today, though! : ) I'm glad to hear you got the sunflower one done! Stitching friends are so generous!! :)
TTFN!
Tricia
