B is for Baby

Saturday, November 15, 2008

Well, we didn't make it to gym class on Saturday because we ended going to see the Madagasgar II moive at an IMAX theatre. It was a lot of fun! It's the second movie I've seen at an IMAX and I'm thinking I now can't see a movie any other way!

For today's card I attempted the technique of using prismacolor pencils and gamsol (or if you're like me and don't have any gamsol or odorless mineral spirits, goo gone!) I've long admired the work of the talented Paula Tracy and yet the longer I stare at her wonderful card creations, the more nothing rubs off on me!! hahaha I'd LOVE to color like Paula does but I think I need a lot more practice.

Anyways, I used Hanna Stamps! 'B is for Baby' set that was just released last week. It's a really nice baby set to have because it has a little bit of everything. It's not really orientated to one particular sex, which I like. The layout I used is from the sketch challenge from Paper Craft Planet. It's a new website dedicated to all types of paper crafts. If you haven't checked it out already I suggest you do so. I was hesitant, because I didn't think I needed another place to hang out online, since SCS dominates most of my online life! But so far, it's been a really cool place to view some amazing work. If you do end up over there, add me as a friend - I could use some! LOL

Hope everyone has a great week coming up!
Toodles!
