Whimsical Wednesday Sketch Challenge

Good Morning!

I just have to say thank you to everyone who played along on yesterday's TGF blog hop! What an amazing turnout we got! And a BIG personal thank you from me for all your sweet comments about my work. I am truly thankful for them and for you all. I have been in a very 'bah humbug' mood of late. Mainly due to homesickness and not having seen my parents in over 5 years, so it was really touching to read all your wonderful comments. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. :)

Ok, onto today's Whimsical Wednesday Challenge! This week's sketch is a doozy! You can see it over at the Whimsical Wednesday website and don't forget to leave some love for this week's featured Daredevil, Cassie Larson! I hummed and haaed over this sketch for the longest time. It looks a little tricky, but I ended up rotated the sketch and omited the the two strips that wrap around each side with the stars. Then I used a ribbon to represent the strip running straight across the front of the sketch.

The sketch really didn't show a place for a stamp image, and I wasn't going to use one, but I couldn't bring myself to do it and ended up coloring this cute Christmas package image from Whipper Snapper Designs.

We'd love to have you play along with us this week, but before you do, check out what the other girls have created with this sketch:

And this week please give a warm, whimsical welcome to our newest Daredevil Kris Palakiko!! Welcome Kris! We're so excited to have you on board Kris!
Yesterday, Rebecca sent me this awesome YouTube video of the muppets and if you love Queen or the Muppets, you have to check it out!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

I honestly think that this is one of my favorite cards to date!! I love the simply stated holiday images and the checked ribbon. So great!! I am still trying to figure out how I can get this into a quilt image. LOL Can't wait to see you guys again. I'm making a fab christmas gift for Syd that I will share with you once I have more work done on it. :)

Keep up the great work.

Rockin' video!! I had an Animal drum when I was growing up and my mom said she thinks I used to bang extra hard on it because I was afraid of Animal and his face was on the drum. Is that considered Muppet abuse? LOL!

This card is SO beautiful! I really love that you made it long and gave it a perfect bow! The buttons are a sweet touch too.

I'm glad yesterday helped a little bit...sending you a big hug and hoping that you will continue to be filled in little ways until the time comes when you're reunited with your mum and dad! Luv ya, Girlie!

It's very hard to be away from the people we love and I tell you what I am grateful every day for being close to my parents. Even tho there are some months I see them like once a month because we're busy w/ school, lessons, etc..just knowing they're HERE is HUGE. I will hope and pray that you will see them soon! That's what cyber-friends are for...and you have a LOT of those because you are WONDERFUL and I LOVE YA!!!

Sandra this turned out so super cute I love your coloring as always, and how funny that we both did a tall and skinny or long and skinny card this week I think we were the only ones as far as I have seen!!!!

Great job on this classy card!!!!
