TSG: By The Sea Blog Hop!

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

Welcome to the second blog hop for the June There She Goes releases!

Today the Jessica and the Trendsetters (sounds like a rock band doesn't it?! hehe) are showcasing the serene By The Sea set! If you've hopped here from Pam's wonderful blog, then you're on the right track, but if you haven't and would like to play along with us, just hop on back to the TSG blog and start your ride there. Remember, you could win this beautiful set just by hopping with us today!

By The Sea is an absolutely beautiful set! And it shouldn't be a surprise that it was designed by the very talented Chris Dark! It has a total of 37 images and 18 of those are some of the most heartfelt sentiments you could imagine! It's a 6x8 set that will be sold for $24.

I stamped the main image from the set (cropping it slightly for my panel) and the Adirondack chair in the middle of the scene. Then I stamped the seagull silhouettes flying above the horizon and masked off the edges of the square panel with Post-It notes (so it would leave a white edge). After coloring the beach with a combination of SU's Creamy Caramel and Distress Inks 'Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap', and the water in SU's Cool Caribbean and a teeny tiny bit of Ballet Blue, I then sponged the sky, with the sunset off to one side with SU's Morning Marigold, Pumpkin Pie and a wee bit of Real Red. Luckily I found designer papers that matched this scene from My Mind's Eye small glitter stack, Home Collection.

I know you're loving all the sneak peeks, right? It's amazing how much talent there is on this team, but unfortunately this is the end of the hop. :( Please head back to the TSG blog and leave your name in the Mr. Linky at the bottom of the post so you can be in the random drawing to win your very own By The Sea set!

Thanks so much for hanging out with me today!! and I hope to see you all hopping along with us tomorrow for our final sneak peek! :)
