Can you believe it's the end of the month already?!?
Where did April go?? One minute it's April 1st, and the next minute a whole month skipped by! Sheesh! I feel like the only thing I've accomplished is making tons of cards. LOL
Speaking of cards, this week I received the Greeting Farm stamps and paper I bought last Thursday at the pre sale and I was dying to ink them up and cut them out!
Let me just say this: You have to get some of this paper when it goes on sale tomorrow!! The vintage colors and funky patterns are so yummy and they're a perfect match for most of the characters and animal stamp sets that Marie creates. I will say that I do wish that she stocked these individually, because I already have some favorites out of the pack and I wish I had more of them! A girl can dream can't she?! And who can forget the new girls in town?! Their offical name are the Wild Sprouts. And they are delightful! I really hope Marie comes out with more of these girls...and boys too!
I used this week's Mojo Sketch Challenge MOJO84 for this card. I really wasn't sure about this sketch, but when I opened up The Greeting Farm papers, the colors helped me pull the sketch together in my head. I sponged all the pieces of patterned paper with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Inks and matted them with Bazzil cardstock. The scalloped circle was cut with my decorative scissors (you can see where the scallops didn't quite match up at the top. (I don't have that small scalloped circle punch from Stampin Up.) Just for a little bit of sparkle, I added some yellow Stickles to Annika's hair clip.
Just as Dirty Girl Heather Pulvirenti mentioned in her blog post yesterday, you always notice something missing when you look at the photo instead of the actual card. I probably would have added some stitching or chocolate pearls to the edges/corners of the layers. It just feels like it's missing something! Ahhh!!
Thank you for stopping by today. Tomorrow is the start of 4 days of Hanna Stamps previews, so if you wanna see what Kristi has in store for you, I'll see you back here tomorrow - same time, same place! hehe
