I {heart} Edward

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

Ok, I'll admit it: I have a thing for Edward Cullen. And frankly, I don't care that he's is a 90+ yr old fictional vampire. There. I said it. It's out there now. ;)

This week's Farm Fresh Friday sketch was created by my SCS sistah and TGF's Summer Design Team member, Mary Giles, so of course I just HAD to create something with it!

I thought I'd use my favorite vamp, since he's been sitting in my stamp collection UNINKED for about two weeks now! (Shame on me.) And I couldn't think of any paper collection more perfect for broody/edgy Edward than Basic Grey, so I pulled some sheets of the old Skate Shoppe and Motifica collection. Out came the Distress Inks again for some sponging around the edges of the panels. The sentiment is from the Wonderland set and it reminded me of one of my favorite parts in the Twilight book; when Edward introduces himself to Bella and he has that little smirk on his face. *swoon* I gave this Edward a hint of red to his eyes. :)

Thanks Mary for a great sketch! I loved it!

Oh Sandra I love the colors! Thanks sooo much for playing along. I remember that part in the movie and after reading the books I had in my head his voice...when he said "hello" I was expecting it to be deeper. But I guess he is suppose to be 17 and not 30. Sigh.

Many of us <3 Edward, so fear not -- watching him on the teen awards with the girls, I don't know who was going ga-ga more, me or them, ha ha! Adorable color combo you've used here! Nicely done :)

Your card is awesome with the circles or moons in the background and the coloring is perfection. Great job.
