Sneak Peek: Painter Hanna!

Saturday, August 1, 2009

Good Morning!!

Hope your Saturday is off to a good start. As promised, I have another sneak peek at another set being release by Hanna Stamps this Monday!

Introducing Painter Hanna!

So artistic is our Hanna! :) This set contains 8 stamps and I've shown you three of them between these two cards.

I really wanted to play up the theme of this set, so I chose to use some new (or is that 'new to me'?) Amy Butler paper that I found at Michaels last week. It has some beautiful colors in it and I thought it would be perfect for Painter Hanna.

The ruffle was created by sewing a single straight stitch down the middle of the ribbon, then tying one end and gently pulling one thread from the other end while shimmying the ribbon down the stitches. It creates such a pretty detail don't you think?

My second card uses Taylor's TECC76 sketch posted yesterday. It's a simple layout but with some really bold paper, it really can pop! I used the easel and the vase image stamps and really played up the watercoloring.

Wanna see a 'never before seen' Sophie stamp?? Check out what the girls auditioning for a Guest Designer spot have been playing with! They're posting their cards today and you can check them all out on this SCS thread....HERE. I can't wait to see all that talent in one place!

Tomorrow I'll showcase another set! Thanks so much for stopping by today.

I always love how you take a set and make a card with the main imagine and then make another card with just a go-with from the set...It really helps to show how versatile a set can be if you think out of the box. Love the cards girlie!
