You Crafty Woman

I have to share a sweet story with you!

So you know how kids say the darnest things? Well yesterday morning I was rushing around in the bathroom trying to get ready for work and for some reason the hubby and Syd decided to congregate in the tiny bathroom with me! It's tiny! So I said "Blah!! Can everyone get out of the bathroom please?". They listened and DH made the wise crack comment "Hey Syd, Mama said Blah!" to which Syd immediately responded with "Blah means yucky in Spanish Daddy"!!!! Isn't that just awesome?! We couldn't stop laughing all day yesterday. Absolutely priceless!

Ok, onto today's card. The first of a couple of simple cards from me this week. Simple in layout; not in coloring!

I'm busy making Hanna Stamp sneak peeks this week so I needed to create a quick layout for this card. I like using Kraft cardstock because of it's nuetral color palette and it gives this card a bit of a sketchy feel.

The image is a digital one called 'Crafter' from Victoria Case Designs. Victoria rotates her digital stamps bi-weekly so this stamp isn't a current one, but you can always order any digital stamp she's previously released by following this link.

Isn't this sketch just awesome?! I stamped out Crafty Woman and her desk twice and popped her on dimensionals to make her sit forward of the desk in the background. I'm wishing I had photographed the card on it's side now so you could see this. How many women do you know that look like this at their craft table?! Mine isn't this organized, but it does have a mound of stuff on it! Here's my space:

Yep, this is the tiny space I have to myself in our tiny apartment. Most of what I own is either on the desk or under it. The rest of my stuff lives inside half of our amoire in our bedroom which used to house our flatscreen tv. (That now lives in Syd's room. A three year old with a flat screen?! Don't worry; it mostly gathers dust in there.) Tiny apartments calls for lots of compromising!

Thanks for stopping by today. I have a Whipper Snapper image to show you tomorrow!
