Hanna Stamps Sneak Peek: Day Two

Saturday, October 3, 2009

Good Morning!!

I hope you're having a wonderful Saturday! It's time to show you another sneak peek at another set being released by Hanna Stamps this coming Monday night!

You might have seen some of the Hanna girls using the main image from the new Geisha Hanna set already, so I thought I'd use the accessories to show you how versatile they can be.

I created two gift set type cards with two of the larger images from the set. There are eight images plus one sentiment in the set. These cards are 5" x 5" so you can gauge how big the images are. I pulled out some big, bold floral patterned paper from Amy Butler/K&Company because it reminded me of the gorgeous kimono's the Japanese women wear. These cards have a lot of depth to them that you might not be able to see in this photo (remind me to fire my photographer!). ;)

I stamped the images onto Very Vanilla cardstock and sponged around them with some SU ink to match the patterned paper they were paired with. Then I stamped out the image again on some more VV paper and colored them up with reinkers, then cut them out and popped them on dimesionals. The layout is loosely based on this weekend's Weekend Sketch Challenge (WSC100). Beate's always got great sketches!

In Australia, I took three years of Japanese in high school and I was pretty good at it and could even write in Japanese. But because I never used the language again after high school, the only thing I can remember how to say now are the words 'Hello' and 'One, Two Three'....it really is true when they say that the mind is first to go. *grin*

Have a good one!

PS. Remember the Hanna Stamps blog hop is tomorrow night starting at 10pm EST over at Mrs Kristi's blog!! Lots and lots of giveaways - you won't want to miss it!!
